Do you have any idea to prevent this from happening because I would imagine you would want the best players at the lan instead of 20 good ones and 12 people that got lucky during qualifiers. Also do you have any ideas for prize distribution like a more spread out one such as 5/10/20/40 for 5-8/3-4/2/1 or just like a 50/30/20 for 1/2/3 I was hoping by having a double elimination It would work out however I might hand pick a few people and make sure they are on different sides. That said If you expect me to look up 256 players on sc2 ranks and try to pair them all up correctly using the broken challonge system it isn't happening. As for the prize I was thinking of just having it between first and second but once I get more money into this I will probably make it the top 8. Not really sure how I will divide it but I'd prefer to make it fair to people who don't get first.

Like 256 players it's 64 groups of 4 or 32 groups of 8. Half the people make it thru.. Reset the groups, same pattern, half people make it thru. if you have more sick players than how many people are qualified well it's too bad.. It happens in every tournament you can't control that

I have to make a 4 hr trip so I would prefer to know in advance whether or not I'm allowed to compete in the Canadian part of the tourney I'm pretty sure the online preliminaries aren't going to just be one day, I'm probably just going to give everyone 3 days to for each round or something like that. Anyway just sign up for the tournament, it's free so if you can't come you can't come no loss. the online part should end at least a week before the 26th so you will have plenty of time so work things out. If I may ask where are you coming from anyway?

Looks like there is a 1% chance of me showing up, and that 1% is if I get fired which isn't likely to happen. Sorry chromate, I would love to make my way to Toronto to cast but I just found out I've got about 30 hours of work from Friday night into Sunday that weekend
