Hello there,
before we start, I would like to (in case you haven't seen it yet on my socials) point out that together with Dr. Raetze and Dr. Hüllmann, we published a systematic literature review on factors that benefit/harm esports performance at the team level, analyzing 92 studies. If you're interested in reading/sharing our work, feel free to do so (it's open access).
Now, let's get back to the usual. Here's a new episode for you: A Better Routine For Progamer? According to some progamers, current training routines may be ineffective, as they lack focus on taking breaks, improving sleep, and team activities. But is their gut feeling right? Can an improved daily routine improve individual and team factors and hence performance? If so, how could such a routine look like?
[DISCLAIMER]: The article is written for my weekly newsletter, and published on my website. A new episode comes out every Sunday (directly into your inbox and on my website).
Have a great week, Christian

Try putting an aquarium beside your monitor. Try to have your monitor facing outdoors by a window. For me, my coding room consists of 3 glass walls facing our back yard.
Screen time can be very negative for your health if it is not managed carefully and strategically.

Being a person working in the tech sector and knowing well what it takes to be a high-performance environment individual, I completely agree with how a proper routine is vital in the career of professional gamers. It is important to find a balance between screen time, mental concentration and recuperation. Funnily enough, working at Extract Mails I have also experienced the efficiency that a well-structured workflow and automation can bring to the equation, and that can be also transferred to gaming. It could include reserving a place to have practice, handling sponsorships and fanbase development through newsletters, and so on, but the presence of some right tools (such as Extract Mails to organize the lists of contacts) makes a great difference. An improved routine is not only having more practice but having smarter systems.
