The rookie draft of year 2005(SC only) is going to be held by KeSPA in 24th, March.
Qualifications contain: 1)no semi-pro(no progamer license) 2)not belong to any PRO team(no contract) and every candidate has to hand in his(maybe her?) CV with all the records and achievement before.
Today(22nd) is the deadline. And it's supposed that some progamers who have no new contracts would be on the beadroll, such as Junwi, TerAo, Zerglee, kOs and so on. They would adopt free transition during the draft. So it means if the boss kicks out one player out of a team, despite he is an active progamer, he has to find another job in the draft.
The order of the draft resembles the NBA principle. According to the total prize each team earned last year, the No.1 team, P&C would be the last one among 11 teams to pick in the first round. On the other hand, Plus, the worst record keeper last year is going to choose at first.
Rookie draft will held twice each year, which is the best chance for those that are eager to be progamers. However, if one refuses to sign with the team that choose him, he has no right to rejoin the draft next time. (So you wanna be a progamer? SIGN the fucking contract no matter which team you are going to!) President of KeSPA says there are a lot of details to improve, while, the rookie draft must be a significant upgrade for progaming.

if Plus picked Junwi, i would kill em all >.<

That's interesting, I wonder if any of the weaker teams will get a decent boost out of this, or if we'll see a strong new (previously) amateur player rise up.

I'm packing my bags to go to korea to pro game, since I might be able to get on a team now

Junwi is also my favourite pro ... I kind of want him to go to a new team and take them to #1 even if it is Plus

While there is the potential for that to happen, i really dont think it will. Legionaire said it right in the news post, that if any team screwed someone over royal, then they would get a lot of bad press ect.

Sounds interesting, exactly how many players are there going to be up for draft? Is there going to be 1st picks, 2nd picks, etc? So for instance each team takes 2 people and not just a single person.

It's sound very good and interesting.Junwi used to be my 2nd fav zerg so i hope he will get out of his horrible slump.I don't care if Plus will pick him.Every change will be good for him (i hope).

I hope ogogo will be recruited.

So no semi-pros can be drafted? Thats a shame. Any team looking for a good Terran player could pick up Jyackal (=
