I've looked through all the hotkey settings, and so far found no way to do this for the "GRID" profile. Please do some research first before answering a question. If someone has figured out how to do this, please tell us in detail.
EDIT: I have found a work-around for this problem, but takes a lot of time to set up. Basically, you have to chose the "Standard" profile, and re-bind ALL the hotkeys in order to replicate the "Grid" profile, EXCEPT re-bind the "select larvae" key to the CAPS LOCK button. I wish there was a way to modify the "Grid" profile to allow this, but I don't think it's possible. It's gonna be annoying to re-bind all the hotkeys, but this is the best way to get what you want as so far as I can see.

As Protoss when you are fighting muta-ling and mutas are directliy above zerglings and you have an Archaon shooting zerglings will the splash hit mutas or only other ground units?

It is good to do it because you want to mine the closest minerals for a faster mineral intake.

After a 2rax, what should I build next after expansion? (If I'm aiming for starport tech)
|
If you go 15 hatch 14 pool and they don't go 2 rax, what's the best time to take your gas? I've seen some people do it on 17, 21, or double gas on 25.

I do it so later on in the game when more things are going on, i can set my worker rally to the middle mineral patch for the most even worker distribution
How many banelings does it take to kill: 1. supply depot 2. barracks 3. bunker 4. pylon 5. gateway 6. cannon 7. Command Center 8. Nexus 9. Hatchery

Does the automatic priority change once you scanned a hallucinated unit?

Terran here with a bunch of questions primarily concerning mechanics.
1. When building depots or the like, should I bind my SCV's and build with them or just go to home base, select a worker and then build?
2. Should I keep workers hotkeyed for emergency repairs or just grab and command?
3. Is there a way to force SCV's to auto repair a planetary fortress that's under fire? (Right-clicking on repair doesn't seem to do anything)
4. What are some good locations for my location keys (F1-F4) I can't really think of any locations I need.
5. Is there an easier way to lineup siege tanks in TvT besides clicking on the enemy tank and memorizing it's ring of fire?
6. How come a lot of Koreans send workers on the gas 1 at a time? I highlight 2 and send them together.
7. Do pros hotkey dropships or just command them manually?
That's all for now, I'm sure I'll have more. Thanks in advance!

simpler question are sentries 100% necessary to hold a 3rax early push (like 7 minutes) ?
|
As Zerg, what are the signs of early cloak banshee harass? How do you scout it if they wall-in and spread marines to prevent overlord scouting?
Why do pro zergs always choose to upgrade +1 attack instead of armor?

No, he was asking to change it with the Grid profile, and that is not possible. It's pretty clear by your response that you were just guessing that it's possible, and didn't know for a fact. Your reply was simply unsatisfactory, sir. Now, good day!

Cant help with 4-5 but here we go:
1. If you aren't directly centered over your CC, just double-tap it's hotkey (it should always be hotkeyed) and then select worker. You're not gonna be saving any time by hotkeying a single worker, especially later when you are building several buildings at once
2. same as above
3. weird.... they should auto-repair if you right click the repair icon. Occasionally what happens is this: The PF and scvs assume the same threat priority to attackers so if your scv is closer then it will be attacked. Sometimes the scv's will repair a PF to full health but some of them are damaged, so they autorepair each other while the PF continues to take damage. One way to negate this is to simply keep a decent eye on the PF battle and don't use auto-repair. Also, always keep your scv's behind the PF, and micro them away from attackers. They must live or a PF goes down fairly fast to a strong push.
6. gas-entry timing. If you send 2 at the same time, only one can go in and the other has to wait for 2 seconds. It's only a tiny delay but korean players have the apm to individually rally workers into the gas so they line up well, instead of initially clustering at the entrance.
7.Yes, hotkey fo sho. You want to be able to check on those routinely throughout the game and make sure theyre not getting picked off. If you can, separate their hotkey from any units inside them as well so you can micro them away from air defense o on drops

Why do pro zergs always choose to upgrade +1 attack instead of armor?
1. only marines is a good indicator, though not definite as he may be hiding the marauders
2. think about what this means. If he has 4-6 marines scattered throughout his base then he has 4-6 marines scattered throughout his base. poke the front at he same time, check his marauder/hellion count and then guess at his build.
3. Not 100% sure but it is cheaper, and against marines is very effective for lings. IMO armour upgrade is better vs toss because if the toss is ahead in upgrades by 1 it only takes 2 zealot hits to kill a ling. If the armour upgrade is the same as the toss' weapons, then it's still 3 hits

Props to Zatic for this idea. It's a great idea.

auto-repair won't make them interrupt gathering to repair stuff.

Here's one: What's the main difference between a 1-gas 4gate and a 2-gas 4gate, in terms of how allin it is?

As terran how should i hold off the 12 drone rush on steps?

They're both equally all in. The difference is in the units. 1 gas, will consist of alot of zealots, some stalkers and no sentries (usually) 2 gas will consist of gas heavy units like stalkers and sentries. Main difference is what you need to defend it.

send 1 marine at their tank line, when hes killed, park your tanks just behind that line. pick a marine that is already almost dead if there is finite medivac energy. poor guy.
