So on TeamLiquid right now, LR is the abbreviation for "Live Report" as in the many live report threads for SC matches.

Broodwar forever!!!!
As you can see, the reason for the term "Live Report" is obvious. In real time, users report on the status of the games and speculate about upcoming matchups. So in that sense, the contents of the LR threads might be considered "Live."
But another way of looking at these threads is based on their fluidity. In one moment, Flash's stock might drop to crap status, while in the next, it might bounce right back up. In these threads you see the ever changing tides of heart and emotion.
Uh-oh, is my hero slumping? NO HE JUST SMASHED THAT NOOB!
Like the ocean, the reporting in these threads is always thoughtful and deep.
Ex:
And do you know what is
a.) characterized by its fluidity
b.) affected by the gravitational fluctuations caused by the distance of the moon.
c.) potentially very deep (e.g. ocean)
???????
That's right.

Liquid!
But while you may now think that Live still better describes LR threads, I bring up the following points:
1.) For most of the people following the streams and posting in the threads, how many people are what you might consider "alive?" It's usually like 4AM in the morning, and people in a sleep-deprived haze often appear more among the ranks of the undead than those of the living.
2.) None of the reporting is actually live, per se. It takes a non-negligible amount of time to type out ones thoughts, and usually by the time the "post message" button is pressed, the scene being described has already passed. Instead of the reportage being "live," they are probably closer to the aftershocks of the waves that are epic SC moments. (You know what else has waves?)
So finally, if my arguments thus far have left you unswayed, I appeal to your patriotism. We TLers are all patriotic people to some extent. We may criticize our leaders and be on the wrong side of the law from time to time, but in our hearts we always bleed blue. In our souls, we are children of TeamLiquid. And since we are all, in a spiritual sense, part of TeamLiquid (not to be confused with Team `Liquid`) we might say that we are all, ourselves, Liquid.
Now to conclude, I ask you a simple question: If we are Liquid, and what we post in our Liquid world is Liquid, then is LR not Liquid Report?
Thank you for your time.
