Well I gave up on my road to top200 on LA. Not that I "quit", I don't like to do that easily. Here's what happened. I was playing a lot back in December 10-20. But then I had a trip to my Hometown where I spent 12 days without touching SC2. The trip was awesome. When I got back I set my mind that I should study more in 2011, so I started studying during the time that I used to play, at night. I have a full time job which leaves me only with the night to do my own things. Now I'm studying instead of playing, which is good for my future although not as exciting as playing.
Anyway that doesn't mean in anyway that I stopped playing. I'm still playing merely for fun though, without a goal. I've been playing 2-3 games a day (after studying, before sleeping) of 3x3, 4v4 and 2x2 with friends, never alone. If I'm alone I won't play.
Today I decided to play a couple 1x1 games. I played 4 of them and each time I faced a protoss. They are all high ranked at LA, although I was favored against all of them due to my previous success in December . I felt they are clearly better players than me. I'm playing way worse than I did in December, but that's okay. The problem is I don't know what I could do to beat these guys.
I mean, I don't think I'm a good player at all. I think I'm decent (on a normal-people level, not people who aim to be pro) and I'm sure I could have played the same strat as I did much better. Hell, in December I'd have done this same thing much better. I'm posting the replays of 2 of the 3 losses I got hoping that any of you will care enough to watch them (they are < 15min) and give me some advice on what I could have done.
TL;DR: Playe 4 zvp, got crushed. Tried to roach/ling timing push while they'd have few sentries and stalkers. They denied me and soon gathered a much larger army than mine. What do I do?
