But he probably assumed that Stork has an ob or two and waited for critical mass. That said, Stork's observer micro with carriers is just freaking amazing. I remember another game(on Troy?) where he faced wraiths and just destroyed it with godly observer micro. Too bad his obs are useless in PvZ though. Light is a TvP choker. It's not that he's incapable of playing good TvP but most of the time he just makes very costly decisions.
I admit I don't watch much of Light's TvP unless it's a big game. But it seems to me his TvP is the same god damn thing every time. Turtle, harass with some vultures, turtle some more, and move out. Meanwhile he lets the protoss expand everywhere.
If the protoss is good, then Light usually get pushed back and loses. If the protoss sucks, they usually just a-move into his tank line and Light wins. The style seems to be perfect for crappy players like shy, and worthless to good decision-makers like Stork.

So aggressive against zerg but completely the opposite against toss. He needs to fix this.

Poor Light. Never had a chance. Stork is 18-2 now in his last 20 PvT. His best matchup is back to top form since he just goes carriers. Seriously the guy does not even care if you scout them, he will beat you anyway. And he does not only do it against the mediocre players but against everyone. The games of this group were very good I have to say. Shy pulled them down but other than that pretty good play from everyone.

I think what differentiates between Stork's carriers and other protoss' carriers is that he's much better at controlling his ground army at the same time. Stork's carrier PvT is always interesting because you see how he defends against the terran push with a smaller ground force. Attacking and withdrawing like guerrilla warfare. Using delay tactics with smaller forces, and attacking at enemy weak points. To me, that's much more epic than just watching armies collide and stuff dying.

Poor Light, the guy has no luck this season. He's had an absolutely brutal set of opponents in PL, and had to try to beat Stork to advance in MSL.

I must say, that game against Roro was pretty bad. Dohsairs ruled the skies.

Oh the bright side MBC fans, Flash got 0-2 of his group while Light got 1-2 of his. So that would technically make Light's performance in the MSL much more impressive.
|
Light was twice matched with an opponent that outclassed him(especially in PvT). Not that he did badly, he just got matched with someone he could not beat.

Well Jaedong has free reign over the OSL now that Light is out.

I don't understand this kind of reasoning.
If Flash gets a group with Ssak/Miso/Classic and doesn't get out, what guarantees a Jaedong victory either? Jaedong can be just as easily upset.

but flash was not easily upset, the chance for him getting upset in that group was pretty small. not that i agree with the jaedong is a lock theory, but when you are talking about "just as easily," you must attach a specific probability.

Hey guys. Right now there doesn't seem to be games for this group posted anywhere, which is a shame 'cause I really want to watch it.
It's gonna be replayed at 20:30 KST on MBC, though.
