light's ground army (both goliath, tank) was just tiny after 3 port wraiths and investing in his new expo
he had very few factories for that point of the game

I think Light's biggest mistake that game was NOT realizing that Stork skipped obs totally for fast carriers. The whole dragoon not clearing mines thing should've tipped him off, as well as the corsair for scouting. I think he had a good chance to take out all the carriers if he gone out early. But he probably assumed that Stork has an ob or two and waited for critical mass.
That said, Stork's observer micro with carriers is just freaking amazing. I remember another game(on Troy?) where he faced wraiths and just destroyed it with godly observer micro. Too bad his obs are useless in PvZ though.

Light is a TvP choker. It's not that he's incapable of playing good TvP but most of the time he just makes very costly decisions.
