That's a compliment to every Call of Duty since the first one considering they have all been mindless shooters that cater to the casual gamer. But on the topic of ME3, ME2 in my opinion was one of the best RPG's of all time and I look forward to the next installment in the series. There was a significant increase in quality between the first two games, and I'm sure that the third one will be better than the other two.

The first two had a great deal of awesome touches in the campaign that I loved. Little things like having the paratroopers actually land properly and a fair bit of historical accuracy (well, as much as could be expected). I really liked them, as a nerd. The new ones are mindless shootemups, but I love em for what they are. ME on the other hand, is made by BioWare, and is, therefore, the best thing ever.

ME2 had problems, it was a great game, but there were things holding it back. Without going into small complaints, mining, limited exploration options and very linear missions were the problem. The trailer just confirms it's ME3 which is disappointing. They don't give any hints whatsoever, if you played ME2 you know bad things are coming you just didn't know they were going to hit Earth as an act of revenge. I would have liked to know how they're going to do ME3 if the player is starting a new game which will probably be default set to Sheppard dying in ME2 along with the rest of the crew. How is the whole party system going to work when many of the characters from the past game could be dead? Replacements sure, but are they going to remove all the ME2 characters and just have em as side characters? There are ways of writing them off even if they lived like Thane who is dying anyways, Tali going back home and Jack going wherever, but some characters like Miranda and Jacob would not leave if they survived. A lot of other minor questions about the ending but the other big thing is what exactly are the foot soldiers that you'll be fighting? ME is not a space flight game so you can't face Reapers personally and unless we're just going to be fighting Husks now with guns they have nothing to replace Geth and Collectors with.

I really do hope that Earth will only take a small part of ME3, because everything we've been lead to believe points towards it been a shithole with little value as a military or economic target.

He gains superhuman strength, speed, regeneration but is also controlled by the Reapers. That would be an option, especially when the Reapers attack Earth early on they would have plenty of "soldiers" at their disposal (from human colonies on the way). What they will do with the characters - maybe 1-2 recurring ones. Rest will be put aside. Maybe they'll join the final battle as random bystanders - who knows. Or they get the Shepard treatment from Cerberus

What are you talking about? They already removed all the RPG elements from the game in ME2. Worst thing they can do is not put them back in.
