In the tradition of other posts on SC-themed license plates (such as Lysenko's recent blog post), I proudly present my brand-new New York State license plate:
I still need to get some new license plate frames (for some reason the car came with "barbed wire" frames) and some mounting screws that aren't rusty. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the new aesthetic addition to my vehicle. The car itself is a 2005 Ford Mustang hard top.
Hopefully some other TLers will become inspired to get an SC-themed license plate, too! For those who are wondering, it actually only costs $60.00 to get one of these plates in New York. It arrives custom-made in the mail in about a month. Totally worth it in my opinion to have "ZERGRUSH" instead of 3 random letters and 4 random numbers!

Wtf I didn't think you could have more than 7 letters on a plate. Also you don't have the state logo in the center. Wtf?!

In New York, when you get a custom plate, you can go up to 8 characters and delete the "New York" symbol in the center. The regular plates have 3 letters -> "New York" symbol -> 4 numbers.

i like that car more than that epic plate :D

In Jersey you can get rid of the state symbol, and you go up to 7 letters instead of the usual 6.
As soon as I get a car, I'll put NUBTOSS on my plate, unless I get some funny random combination like STD-69U.

Why did you have to put "ZERGRUSH", was "TOSSRUSH" taken? I don't know, but to me "Zerg Rush" seems like a StarCraft stereotype propagated by casuals whose deepest venture into strategy was the Prima's Official Strategy Guide.
|
But ZERGRUSH would make more people understand what is on his license plate, it's kinda like an SC meme at this point. It's where you get all those funny pictures, Zerg Russian, 'Berg Rush, et cetera ad nauseum.

Haha, so baller! Very nice indeed

Because I play Zerg, not Protoss... Also, as the above poster says, "Zerg Rush" is a meme that stands on its own. I mean, even in other RTS games, players speak of "zerging" other players. It just is its own term at this point.
But mostly because I like Zerg, that's why.

Haha awesome, I have been thinking of similar things for when I can afford a car.
