I've always wanted to kick the gun out of someone's hand and do some crazy prime monkey chan moves. Or just punch him in the face =P Sucks about your phone, but hey as long as you're covered and do frequent back ups (copy to pc/lap/flash drive/w/e) its really not too bad.

(or as brave apparently, but thats w/e; cant blame them) anyway; my cousin called his telephone company and told them he got robbed; he got a brand new one. the ppl on the telephone were really sympathetic. (those were the nice canadians) It's called the bystander effect--nothing to do with the niceness of Canadians. and if I had been on that subway, I sure as hell wouldn't put myself in danger to save some asian kid's fucking IPHONE.

Recently witnessed 2 petty theif/robberies, well sort of... only saw the guy running and a girl behind him yelling that he stole her phone. This was in the subway station about half-an hour after rush hour, I was on the opposite side in the subway car. Pretty he got taken down because there was only a single exit/entrance at that station and he had to run all the way from the other side, picked the wrong place to steal. Then 2 weeks ago I saw a very brief scene, the cashier chasing someone carrying a plastic bag across the street, probably bought something to hide what he stole. Unfortunately for the idiot he ran across to the night club, which there were 2 dudes and a bouncer outside. About 2 seconds later I turn the other way and saw a police vehicle speeding down the street. Probably ending quickly, he had no chance, it was about 11 at night I think.

First of all, he's like 25, barely a kid. young but not a kid. second, what does being asian have anything to do with this topic? are you saying if the dude was 60 and wasn't asian, that you would do something? because there was already a case like that in toronto where an elderly guy got his wallet robbed, once again on the subway; 50 people around him and still no one did anything even when he called out for help.

I only sat there stewing with my arms wire tied fucking angry and looking for a chance to overcome them. I'm glad I didn't have that chance, because it woulda been fucking dumb, but that's how I felt. Glad you are ok man. I've never had a gun to my head, but last year on Thanksgiving day (well, Canadian thanksgiving, so Columbus Day) I got robbed at knife point. I also have to say that the situation didn't really scare me... more disturbing than anything. What got me was just feeling helpless, unable to help myself. I will never forget how it feels to have a cold blade touch your throat, but i'm alright these days. The guy took my iPod touch, my phone, my wallet (with about ~50 CDN in it)... I never did buy another Touch, I grabbed a Nano instead. The important thing is that you are safe, Funk.
