Then, when he decides to find another way home (which, unlike your parents' decision to come late, doesn't affect you in any way beyond apparently hurting your feelings), you get so insulted that you make a whole thread on TL to bash him. Well, I hope the venting helped you, at least.

He transfered to another school last year. This year his beer fridge outside his house broke and he needed a new one. I offered him the mini-fridge, and I didn't even ask for my half share. Now I have to walk all the way to the main office to get my hot sauce for lunch. Every afternoon the resentment is slowly building. Next time I see him I am going to punch him in the face.

Ok now this is a cool and funny story lol. I completely understand your anger OP but you have to realize that you're overreacting and you'll soon get over it (I hope). If it were me, I wouldn't want to spend another 30 minutes at school either, fuck. As long as he's doing well in school, who cares if he wants to go home and play CoD?

He was gracious enough to give it to me, even though I know how much he used the fridge. I am forever grateful to him- and I really hope he doesn't resent me for it.

You should just shove some really old nattō in his face saying "This is my life now, and it's all your fault"

My best friend was like this in highschool as well. I'm guessing he is the type where you try to get him to play a game that you want to play some at a LAN or on xbox or something and he just won't go for it. Just try not to get upset and realize that's the way he is and that perhaps someday he'll grow up and not be so self absorbed. Why is it weird for his friend to not want to sit at school for an extra 30 minutes? You know what came on 30 minutes after school let out when I was a kid? Dragon Ball Z. You think I would miss that for some friend? Fuck no. I remember my first day in 8th grade at a new school my mom thought my dad was picking me up and vice versa, man that was a sad day.
