Every other week the principle comes out drinking with us and gets the foreign teachers trashed. I don't like to generalise and make stereotypes but I can't believe how much Koreans can drink its ridiculous. I'm a bit of a light weight but happily get unnecessarily trashed all the time. I'm glad getting unnecessarily trashed all the time seems to be a good thing here. unrelated soju story. My friend from America downed a bottle very impressively without much fuss and seemed pretty fine for about 30 minutes or so then just literally face palmed the table and was gone for the night, hilarious as fuck.

I have spent a few summers in China as a university student and have experienced this on a much smaller scale. These last few months I have had many dinners and nights out with contacts from various companies that I will use to pursue internships in the future. Of course there are no deals being made over the course of the night, but it is great exposure in developing and maintaining professional relationships. I had the honor of being taken out to a Japanese "special" message at some super nice spa after a night of drinking at some nice nightclubs and it was a great bonding experience with these guys.

I was amazed at how drunk the korean male teachers got and then secondly that they where up so early the next day for breakfast and unbelievably (to me) drinking again at like 8.00 (they where recked like 4 hours earlier i was sure of it). I had a horrible hang over all day and felt like crap and I know I drunk less than them. Every other week the principle comes out drinking with us and gets the foreign teachers trashed. That soju story is very familiar because it seems so weak, but what people don't realize is that you drink so quickly at times, but also, in Korea you start drinking so early. keke Drink the dawn 888 before you go out drinking, it will give you at least 4 more shots of soju capacity keke.
