otherwise, we'd probably have been sweeped Even the blind chicken will get a piece of corn every now and again. Seriously. GJ Foolish/Meeple, really well played Chez, but you were always going to remain on the suspect shortlist.
Taking a break for a couple of weeks.

Yea town! I'm so glad my conspiracy theory about ludwig turned out to be right.
-->Awesome shot by citizen on day 2. Fucking amazing. -->GJ meeple/foolishness in drawing the incriminating hit from ludwig. If not for that we would have been flopping for several more days and could have lost.

We were really unlucky.. L being killed at random and opz modkilled.. :|

Mafia played badly besides Chez. I did not suspect him at all until the last day/night cycle (at one point I sent him a PM saying I think he's mafia ).
|
I thought the mafia played fine but faced many blues and got unlucky. The PMs from Chez to Flame and A5J and myself were great.
|
liked how I acted very open by forwarding PMs?
|
Btw, Who said that at most there were going to be 5 blue roles? That was a good call.
|
great play by the town. next game i will definitely make sure i have more free time so i can be more active so i'm not the first one lynched.
|
|
chez's strategy shined this game
play so that we can't tell what he is so that when he's mafia, he can hide well.

Hmm, I guessed we would have at least 5 blue roles, but I was quite wrong on which roles I thought would be in it.

We're going to have at most 1 vig, whether its day or night. There's no way we'll have a watcher, tracker, *and* dt. And I wouldn't be surprised if we had 0 hatters and 0 vets. close enough?

I figured L had to be scummy because on Day 1 he called for a mass role claim. In this setup that's like the most retarded thing to do lol. He actually got away with it too. If citizen didn't shoot L (good play) and his teammates stepped up maybe they would have had a shot.
Also Chezinu playing "random" obviously didn't help his team much. Maybe it's just me but I'd prefer for scum allies to cause massive chaos instead of being negligible until late game. No idea what happened in the PMs but reading the thread lots of things felt like Mafia had no idea what to do with the roleclaims.
|
the roleclaim wasn't as bad as you think with a tracker and a watcher, though, right? can't they coordinate and essentially confirm someone? that's the idea i would have pushed
didn't really read up on this game, though, so i don't know how it played out and probably shouldn't be telling anyone how to play considering.
|
roleclaiming on Day 1 in this setup isn't good for the town. Hence anyone pushing for one should be looked at it with heavy suspicion. I mean all the mafia have to do is lie about roles and with a roleblocker all confirmations go out the window.
|
No idea what happened in the PMs but reading the thread lots of things felt like Mafia had no idea what to do with the roleclaims. We didn't have IRC because I had work. Bad news blues.

These were requested by a good man, so here goes:
TL MAFIA XXVII BEARIES!
(please note: Bearies are lighthearted trophies I decided to give out because I felt like it. No insult or emotional distress is intended by the Bearies. If you are insulted by a Bearie, it is probably because you are angry and/or neoconservative and/or German, and hate web 2.0 )
Seeing as these have caught on, someday I will have to make an actual banner for these Ah well, I did not actually play in this game, so all credit for the awards and decisions goes to chezinu.
(NOTE: I did not play in this game, just read through it a couple times to do these. If there are any inaccuracies, I sincerely apologize, just point them out and I will correct them. If I notice.)
"THE DECIDER" BEARIE: For the most accurate Dayvig kill, and the most convincing end to an argument in years:
goes to citi.zen! In the midst of a hilarious day 2 argument between citi.zen, L, Foolishness, and some other people, citi.zen literally walked into the thread, typed out this fateful post:
On June 14 2010 16:29 citi.zen wrote: Here:
##Kill L
No d-vig here.
and left. People lol'd, saying people should stop trying to prove their non-dayvig-ness. Then Korynne posted:
On June 14 2010 20:59 Korynne wrote: Ohhh...
I have to go to work, but here goes:
L the godfather is dead.
The thread stopped. Then erupted. As the town's view on who was who fell down around them, citi.zen simply spun his gun around his finger, and quietly delivered the following one liner:
On June 15 2010 00:54 citi.zen wrote: I want roleclaim pm's by tonight.
Bad. Ass.
NOSTRADAMUS BEARIE: For the most accurate conspiracy theories
Goes to AcrossFiveJulys! I did not play, but I have read the thread, and A5J nailed many people with his ramblings. He called L as mafia before citi.zen popped him, then he went on to use his somewhat confirmed-townieness to organize and direct townie actions. His wild and crazy conspiracy theories from the early stages actually came true, as both Ludwig and L flipped red. Having even one crazy conspiracy theory turn true is amazing, but having 2 is just nuts. Kudos to A5J.
BROMANCE BEARIE: For the best teamwork this game
Is a joint award to meeple and Foolishness! Their scheme on night... 2 I believe basically won the game for town. A very nice, simple little plan that used their blue roles in combination, the way they were supposed to be used, nailed LuDwig-, and broke the game wide open for town. Well done, team.
CARCINOGENETICIST BEARIE For the best troll/most hilarious defense post ever:
I think I'll just post it below:
On June 16 2010 15:45 LuDwig- wrote:Oh, i am at school pc now T.T Well i suppose i can say tons of things..but they are really hard to believe :| So i had to kidnap this panda: If you try to lynch me today i will kill him!
Fucking. Genius.
RADFIELD JR. BEARIE For the player who had the unfortunate distiction of dying first:
Is awarded to johnnyspazz. Poor dude. This seems like it's becoming a trend with him, too.
And finally, a special award is given to Radfield himself, for successfully surviving a game of mafia!!! Well done, sir!

Again, all credit for the above awards chosen goes to chezinu. I just wrote up the post.
GG guys, was very entertaining to read from an outsider's perspective ^^
