I'm not going to make some poll because I just want to talk about it instead. I think TL before SC2 forums came rolling around had somewhat of an older audience, but I'm not exactly sure how old. Myself I'm 25 and I feel a lot of the mods are at least 21+ and older. I find a lot of random posters that joined in the last year or two with like 7000+ posts to be younger. I mean, it's just like SC when you were younger you had more time for that crap, but when you got older, a lot of us at least, lost time for it.
So, now I'm just wondering how old are you and how much do you think your age effects how much time you spend on TL. Me personally I've been on it a lot this last month because I've been out with mono and there is just nothing to do, but usually I visit once or twice a day and post maybe once or twice a day if even in a given week.

i've met JWD and now.. for some reason when i think of TL mod his face comes to mind. im under the impression that all TL mods are attractive , post grad students , intelligent and witty
but yeah. i agree, my usage on TL has decreased a bit last year around this time i was SOOO excited. I think its because us "older" crowd are so emotionally tied with sc:bw. now that the scene has shifted we feel somewhat... lost?

I'm 25 too. I think it's reasonable to assume that many people here are our age. We were the ideal gaming age when Starcraft was released.
|
i always assumed the general population of TL is older than it actually is.

I played sc: bw all throughout middleschool/highschool, and im tired of all that, and dont really feel the motivation to sc2, though i wish i did.

I first found TL back in 2004 or 2005 but I didn't join for a while because I wasn't into the proscene yet, largely because I wasn't into one vs one at the time.
I'm turning 23 soon. I'm on fairly often particularly when there's some sort of tournament or whatever going on but also since this is just *the* site I visit when I've got free time. I seriously check TL more than I check Facebook. Part of this is because I'm a senior in my last semester of college now and I've got a lot more free time than I ever did before and I suppose I could be using it more productively...

I'm 23, been posting here since i was like... 18? daaaaamn that's a long time, although i'm sure a lot of the ppl here have me beat by many more years.

I'm 14, been posting here for two years. Really wish I had motivation to play more sc2 lol, already feel like one of those old vets who doesn't play the games anymore ;_;

lol i forgot to say, i'll be 19 in a 5 month.

See, because you were all, I'm assuming, around for most of SC:BW, but now with SC2 we have an influx in younger people flooding the forums. Not that it's all bad because we can't all just sit here and age together have to get some new blood in here.

22, almost 23 ![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif)
I started browsing TL when I was in Grade 10, now I'm almost done my 5-year university program... wow...

I'd guess the average is late teens, very maybe early 20s.

Am I allowed to be young and have come here before sc2? ![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif)
I started competitive SC after SC2 was announced, but not because it was announced.

My favorite is Kona who has like 11K posts and I don't think he's even been on the site a year, haha. My first account was in 03, but I forgot the password and waited 2-3years to remake one because I thought TL was a bunch of elitist pricks. Which is absolutely true.

I'd think more or so around late teens, around 18? I feel like a lot of BW leftovers are older than the new SC2 crowd, for obvious reasons.
