So, now I'm just wondering how old are you and how much do you think your age effects how much time you spend on TL. Me personally I've been on it a lot this last month because I've been out with mono and there is just nothing to do, but usually I visit once or twice a day and post maybe once or twice a day if even in a given week.

im under the impression that all TL mods are attractive , post grad students , intelligent and witty but yeah. i agree, my usage on TL has decreased a bit last year around this time i was SOOO excited. I think its because us "older" crowd are so emotionally tied with sc:bw. now that the scene has shifted we feel somewhat... lost?

I'm turning 23 soon. I'm on fairly often particularly when there's some sort of tournament or whatever going on but also since this is just *the* site I visit when I've got free time. I seriously check TL more than I check Facebook. Part of this is because I'm a senior in my last semester of college now and I've got a lot more free time than I ever did before and I suppose I could be using it more productively...

I'd think more or so around late teens, around 18? I feel like a lot of BW leftovers are older than the new SC2 crowd, for obvious reasons.

Turning 16 in just over a month and i am just now really getting into Starcraft and wanting to play more games. Probably because when i started there was no Day[9] and i knew nothing of TL (if it existed, idk how old it is) and i recently realized just how much time it takes to keep up to date with all the pro matches and strats. But I love it and i'll play till i die.

I find a lot of random posters that joined in the last year or two with like 7000+ posts to be younger. I mean, it's just like SC when you were younger you had more time for that crap, but when you got older, a lot of us at least, lost time for it. I some how ran into starcraft having pro games after about a month of playing on battle.net and got hooked. I joined TeamLiquid a bit later because I never heard of it, just watched random games on Youtube. (I think Diggity) I started playing on Iccup and heard of teamliquid but still didn't join because I didn't know what it was. When I reached D+ I found this site and joined right away! Usually I just lurk and don't post much in most communities, but I generally like the way this website is run. Strict modding but with common sense, something which is missing in many places. The signal to noise ratio is waaaaay higher here then half of the gaming websites out there. Maybe it's that the average age here seems to be higher then many places, shrug.

Some time ago I used to feel really young relative to the majority of the forum posters. This was mostly due to the fact that a lot of the posts were very well elaborated, or sounded like something someone mature enough would write. Nowadays it just feels like TL's mean age has gone down real low, possibly due to the launching of the SC2 Beta, and I'm starting to feel like an old guy already as I now read the new posting style that's been going on in the forums since. I now give a lot of respect to those old vets that have decided to stick around; names that I've seen posting on the forums for years, kinda feels like they're my brothers in a way.

I also fucking hate the wave of new and younger members joining this site. It seriously feels like TL's collective IQ has dropped by about a dozen points with all the SC2-hyped idiots running around. I never discriminated against low post-count people before, but now I do unless I see good grammar, no bad spelling errors, and a spark of intelligence behind the post. It seriously seems like the vast majority of them are here to bitch about not having a beta key and blaming it on the WoW casuals, or I swear to god, to slowly turn TL into a cesspool of idiocy. I won't lie, I haven't been around here very long either, but I at least came in for Brood War and can speak in complete sentences with proper grammar and spelling (save the occasional typo).
