I started following competitive Brood War after seeing Tempest and Lomo play. Hmm. Double cheese, back when I had never even contemplated the possibility of single cheese. So beautiful. Uh, right. Back on topic, hope Savior gets better.

He bullied people left and right so easily everyone even his fans would want to see him beaten once. That feeling of dominance from Savior is unique in the history of Starcraft - maybe only somewhat matched by IloveOOv to a certain extent.

I still remember when everyone was fcking scared of him, calling him Hitler and praying desperately for anyone to just beat him once using cheese or ZvZ lucky builds... but to no avail. Let's just call it a toss-up. Bonjwa is a term established during the Savior era, then applied to Boxer, Nada, and Oov in retrospect. So... it all depends on what is meant by "original".

I know he is a bonjwa, but didnt really understand how dominance you have to be in order to be one. After reading so much comment now I feel sad I've come to progaming scene so late, I didn't get a chance to see him dominate

He had a few 40 point games (which is amazing considering his age) and he had been out of basketball for a while. With Savior its basically him getting 1 win over Jaedong and 1 over Stork and otherwise just getting obliterated (his game vs best on fighting spirit was so hard to watch). Saviors slump would be like him winning his 4th championship then next season dropping to 10 ppg. No analogy is perfect (: I think Michael Jordan Yoon is a pretty good comparison though. Air Savior ftw.
