Hello.
There is a site called The Berrics. It's pretty much the biggest skate site there is right now. And during the last year they announced the "YOUnited Nations" competition. It's basically an amateur´s chance to get the fame they deserve.
People from all over the world got to send in their short team flick. And there was so many films sent in so they had to extend the deadline when they should reveal the finalists for a really long time.
Now the finalists have been revealed. 19 amazing teams were revealed. And there was no huge blunder about the whereabouts of the majority. USA totally dominated the list, just 1 or 2 were from Mexico and Canada. The rest were like from California and San Fransico.
But then there is this dark horse team. My friends from VA skateboard, Sweden.
And now I humbly ask you Teamliquidiants to give it a quick watch, and rate them. It's amazingly good if you're into skate videos.
Watch here!

I like it, but imo Punk-Rock is a must in Skate-Videos

Oh MAAAAAAAAAAAN, I was so hyped when I saw those opening shots. So well done. The music is nice, but could have been a better fit. Otherwise, they're amazing skaters and, paired with the quality filming, got my vote (even over the Canadian team worth voting for.)

I loved the music. Also the fact that they didn't cloth themselve stereotype. The whole mood of the vid was of relaxation, summer and fun.

Really nice vid! I love the end with the skateboard sound from every clip!!

Cool. I'm insanely jealous of anyone who can skateboard. I've tried to learn but failed and gave up. Nice vid!

Bah, I'm similar... I tried in grade school when I was looking to recover some coolness, but too much pain and not enough grace for me to pul anything off

Just started skateboarding...although it was a wrong time to start. Waiting for the snow to melt to start again... I'm not looking forward to do cool tricks or anything like that but I just want to roll on my skateboard freely ^^ Btw, does anyone know if you can skateboard at longboard speed? Because I don't think you can skateboard very fast in terms of speed.
|
You can, Kingfisher, you just need the bigger, smoother wheels is all -- wheels longboards come with by default, and smaller boards usually don't.

guys so many skate videos now are like this, and even better actually. most skate videos have parts with relaxing songs like this and barely ever is there punk rock in them anymore..
