I've tried to find the cause but AOL's software is too horrible, and their documentation probably worse. I need some help on this one. D: This is something that not only affects AOL users but also ppl from america. There is a huge thread regarding Party / Arena errors. HERE. This problem's been around since closed beta. They never addressed it or mentioned the cause of it. There's no point playing a single player MMO DFO uses some (outdated) peer-to-peer connection type. For PvP and Party you do not connect to a server rather more you connect to the player himself. This causes that if only one of the users has a shitty connection the game starts to desync to everyone ending in some terrible lag and glitched mobs etc. Thats also the reason why you get booted from arena games. Some ppl tried to open all ports, disabling firewalls, using hamachi etc. but right now there is no (in-)official solution. There are only a few games that use p2p like M.A.M.E. or Demigod and they suffer all from the same problem. Demigod had almost to shut down because of this ... Basicly you have 5 options right now: 1. Wait for Nexon to solve the problem (unlikely). Meanwhile you still can lvl your character solo. 2. Setup a Proxy with a friend of you who lives NA / Canada and who has an super fast connection 3. If you REALLY enjoy this game you could play another version (preferable japanese since you don't need a KSSN and there are a lot of english speaking guilds there - http://www.arad.jp) 4. wait for a geek to solve the problem (I'm sure if nexon does not annouce DFO to come to europe soon someone will find a way) 5. Don't play the game at all if you think it's not worth it :/

What should i do? Don't exactly know. The link (if you used the one I provided) is to the official AOL site (newaol.com). So its unlikely that the virus came with the software. Only thing I can think of is that another trojan / virus or whatever decided to take over your AOL software. If you are really afraid try to delete the software (and find another trustfull client, maybe even another version [9.0?] but to be honest I've never heard of someone else that this is some kind of spyware. EDIT: Found something. Exactly what I thougt of: W32/Agobot-FN is a worm that spreads via network shares. When first run the worm copies itself to aol.exe in the Windows system folder. The worm ensures that the copy is run each time Windows starts by addings the following registry entries: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\ AOL Instant Messengar HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices\ AOL Instant Messengar W32/Agobot-FN also attempts to run aol.exe as a service named AOL Instant Messengar. The worm spreads by attempting to access shares on computers with weak user or administrator passwords. A worm takes over your AOL.EXE. So it's not the softwares fault but you have a worm on your PC. Deinstall Software, find and delete the worm and try to reinstall everything again :/

For Hulu and Veoh only =.= Not DFO. What worse is, after I restarted my laptop, I received "could not establish connection" error. Then I thought, maybe I used the wrong version so in-go the uninstallation process (CLEAN). After downloaded and installed 9.0 ver. I STILL got the same error. ;-; What worse(again) my anti-virus program kept warned me saying there's Trojan D: which I chose to ignore. *shivers* HALP? ._.'

As it seems that I am using a VPN or dial up to connect to AOL instead of using my network, I might be incurring other chrages as well. Is that true?
