So had the open house at the Ice shop last night was good times. I think we could have pulled off a better looking event to give it the extra something but Chef was going for quick and easy. He is getting older and booth Jamie and I ( us other carvers) Chefs like 60!! and still doing ice, I think hes getting ready to retire. Well we had a good turn out, local chef's and event coordinators etc were coming thru all afternoon into early evening. Well with no further ado here are some photos. Now they are not Nevergg great photos (you rock lady ) they do get the point across.

I got into the Bizz by having a friend get into it and kept asking if they needed a floer sweeper or something. They finally brought me on 2 years and 8 months ago.

Most of the ice pictured was made the day before or that day. The chair was probally around that long to make probably a little more with detailing etc.

the bar is hella cool but the seahorse is quite a treat to the eye. Do you guys have blocks of ice in stock or you order them through a distributor? Whats the biggest block of ice does the bizz have in hand/or can order? What's the biggest/hardest project that you worked on since you been doing this?

We make all our blocks.

these are the machines that we make Ice block out of

Biggest blocks they make are in like Russia or something they are pulled from a lake for use in a ice hotel i believe ( at least the biggest Ive seen)

The biggest project Ive got to work on was the Super Bowl in Phx Arizona. We used 30 300# blocks of ice to form a giant ice football. We also did like 50 table center peices and some other random carvings with football theme. I worked 26 hours straight that event and was the sickest Ive ever been tjhe day after getting home, it was so much fun until i got sick. Got to meet The Fridge Perry? ( spelling Im no football man) And some big chinned comedian u mmm the doritos guy.
