Hello, I'm making a small application for navigating on 3d starcraft maps. I know some people are having trouble getting it running so I'm posting this so maybe you guys can help me test and figure how to get it to work.
Right now it's really simple and looks very bad. All the feedback I want is: - does it run or do you get an error (if so, what is your OS?) - does it runs smoothly or is it slow (if so what is your graphics card?) - can you see the map texture or not? - do the controls work as described bellow?
Controls are:+ Show Spoiler + * Esc - exits * 1 - Main camera animation, from one main to another * 2 - Camera animation shows both islands * 3 - Camera shows all 4 mains * 0 - Camera shows all map from distance * F - Free camera, allows you to move around: -- wasd - moves camera -- arrow keys - moves the camera target
Download & install: + Show Spoiler +for windows only (24mb): http://vibrunazo.net/temp/vgtest7.zipTo run it, just unzip it somewhere and click the .bat file. It *should* work on almost any video card, but I'm not really sure.
If you get an error saying: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)."+ Show Spoiler +
Thanks for helping me

I tried your program and it worked fine. I am running XP and I am using an nVidea GeForce Go 7300. Mind sharing why you made the program?

The reason why is that if I get it to work properly it could be a nice replacement for my map intro videos: http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?id=95877 http://www.youtube.com/user/VIBrunazo Those videos take 1 whole day to render a 1 minute video. Setting up each map for this program takes 10~20mins. Plus it gives whoever is using it much more freedom.

It's really cool, and it doesn't really lag on my system.
Windows XP 384 mb ram + running chrome and mirc
It is a little slow (ATI Xpress 200 I think)
The controls work, but it's a little awkward because there is some acceleration.

Runs perfectly fine for me. XP + 8800GT.

Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT running Vista.
Works as far as I can tell. Extremely awesome btw. Controls when using f to navigate are confusing though.

Works as far as I can tell. Did you ever updated your OS? I had 3 people complaining it didn't work on Vista already.

Works perfectly here! Very impressive too I might add.

It works for me, but before it runs I get this message:
player.exe - Unable To Locate Component This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. I have vista SP1 and I am running a shitty Intel GMA 950. Even though I get the above error, it still runs. It lags minimally.

Didnt work for me. It just opens a ms-dos window and closes quickly. I installed the C++ link. Os Win2000 sp4, Pent4 2.4, 512ram with integrated graphics.
