I recently listened to some really awesome band and was like "Whoah these guys must live in some uber fuck emo city" judging from their lyrics. Turns out they are from my town. And by town I mean a TOWN. It is a small area that is like a 10 minute drive from one end to the other. According to a website, this is the town from 1910:
Surprisingly not a real whole lot has changed. It still has the uneven misplaced housing structures all over with the trees randomly placed inbetween shops and houses. Of course there are additions and there is added houses in a row-fashion, but the old houses also remain in the old alleys.
The famous thing my town is known for is the old "Navy Yard".
But yeah, anyways, as far as the town goes, nothing really happens. I've only lived in two places - Hershey and Mohnton, and I enjoy Mohnton more despite nothing happens. It does have lots of creepy places (which I love), but other than that it is just an average town with the ugly sluts and macho guys who play B-Ball and pass around herpes and Marijuana.
So which band stemmed from this rural piece of poo? Innerpartysytem!
So did any famous people come from your town? I'm so bored someone list information about your town and famerz people from them. This excludes people who live in dumb places like New York because thats lame.
50k people living in my town. Heiner Bremer, ex editor-in-chief of Stern magazine (it's big in Germany), ex TV news moderator. Michael Stich, ex tennis pro. Won Olympia, Wimbledon, ATP...everything you can win as tennis pro. Tim Mälzer, TV cook Band: Fettes Brot
There's a few rappers, E-40, Mac Dre, Baby Bash, along with a bunch of others I never heard of.
Also we have a bunch of athletes, although the only ones I've heard of are CC Sabathia, Natalie Coughlin, and Jeff Gordon (he was only born here though, wasn't raised here apparently. Also I'm not sure if you consider drivers as athletes...but eh, not going into that.).
and some pornographic actress named Monique Alexander.
