personally I prefer walking to running. running is obviously better cardio but if you have problems with your body or are at risk to them, running can exacerbate your problems. honestly about the healthiest thing you can do is serious yoga. increases your flexibility, calms and clears your mind, increases body awareness, increases strength, and when done right it should increase your vo2max significantly. running may increase it more, I really don't know, I doubt anyone does. but the difference wouldn't be big if it does.

Might be hard to understand, but it is an overall feeling of life. I am sure Yoga will help with that too.

The problem with fruits is that there is a lot of sugar in them, end of. They are better than candy since they have other important things in them other than sugar but they are still full of sugar. And calories are calories, it do not matter if they come from vegetables, butter or dietary pills, in the end the only factor if you get fat or not is if you eat more calories than you burn or not. The problem with sugar is that its calories that you do not feel, the other calories get you stuffed but sugar you can almost eat an endless amount of making it the most dangerous of all the calories. And jfyi an apple got the same amount of sugar as coca cola per gram while the rest is almost only water which means that it do not feel like you consume calories while you eat them. So eat fruits in moderation if you want to lose weight, they got a lot of hidden calories in them.

It's an old thinking that eating loads of fruits is very healthy. Running 4-5 times a week for about an hour + doing exercises every day is way to much for a beginner. If you want this to work then I recommend you to change things SLOWLY, take one thing per week. Let's say you change something in your diet this week and go for a walk. Next week you change something more and ad running once or twice. Changing things to fast only makes you get bored and it also makes it very hard to stick to.

Type of food ................................ kilojoules Sushi (1 roll) ............................... 185 French fries (small serve) (90g) ..... 1089 1 meat pie (175g) ........................ 1880 1 thin pizza slice ......................... 900 McDonald's Big Mac .................... 1965 Hungry Jack's Whopper Cheese ... 3100 KFC (2 pieces chicken) ................ 3010 Subway (15cm roasted chicken) ... 1350 Peach .................................... 167 Apple ..................................... 270 Orange .................................. 335 Banana .................................. ~400 conclusion: fruit has way less kilojoules than "fast food". Hence the statement "you can eat as many apples/bananas/oranges as you want, without gaining weight" is pretty accurate. You would probably feel sick before you ate enough fruit to get fat. The best thing about fruit is that it comes in a stay-fresh portable skin i'll add a recommendation for you, rushz0rz, get some weights at home, and lift those a few times every day.

-Walk or bicicle at least 20 mins a day -Drink water instead of soda/other stuff -Eat at predetermined times, stay at least 3 hr without eating. -If needed to eat fruit of anykind (grape isnt recommended for high sugar), add vegetables in your daily food, stay away from pizza/oil based food. -Coffe without sugar -For running its something you have to control yourself, keypont: dont run less than 14 min, the key about running is not about getting faster or stronger at first but to rise the cardiac rithm and to keep it for at least 12 min. You can run as slow as you want just keep the pace. After 1 week of 14 min you can run 17 and so on (but dont tun less than 3 times a week). Normally you can end up running 1 hour everyday easily in 2 months but dont push it, your goal is not to get tired. -Check your weight everyweek but dont get to obsesed about it.

as for the food, i realy don't know the situation in the Canada. Research about the origins of the food, is it GMO, how much fat it contains. drop junk food and coca cola products. i have been born with a liver deformation and can sense the chemicals in coca cola products and in chewing gums. don't cut all of the meat you eat, going strait from meat to fruit and vegetables is like stabbing yourself in the stomach. your body can't make such a heavy change. as for the stress, i recommend some eastern physiology for a different mindset. don't get hooked on consumerism and TV. enjoy your life.

-Use raw ingredients as much as possible. Anything that's been processed or pre-baked is going to be very hard to keep track of. When you use raw ingredients you know everything that's going into your stomach. -Drink lots of water -Don't go straight into jogging. Especially if you're coming from a sedentary lifestyle. You'll just get smallish injuries all over and that'll completely demotivate you. Start with simple stuff like taking 30-45 minute walks every day, taking the stairs instead of the elevator/escalator, getting off the bus 1-2 stops earlier...
