Casting ability should not have any real bearing on the main issue at hand. Of course if he was the best caster then the "loss" would feel worse. I also think being native speaker was mentioned. I have no problem with non native accents (maybe cuz I got one myself) but some people do. In Coingate (Flash, Bisu and other top pros being involved in a pump and dump scheme) for example and contrast people issued explanations/apologies to their fanbase.

It is not my intention to engage in a dispute or debate about how each of us perceives the situation; nor is it to convince you to change your beliefs or values, or to persuade others to adopt your viewpoint. My goal is to prevent schism of this community, which is already facing a very certain future of eventual shrinking without the injection of new blood. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to identify a mutually agreeable middle ground. While I may have some thoughts on how to accomplish this, certainty in my understanding of the essense of the calamity is required before offering anything. Yet, it seems that there is a lack of interest in fostering mutual respect, as no one has reached out to discuss this further.

And if you do please apologize for the mistake. If you invite a dangerous person, players and their family are not safe at your LAN event. Safety is most important.

Don't invite sexual predators to LANs, and then don't try to subsequently defend your decision to bring him.

I think you should accept that this is not a situation in which any attempts at diplomacy can change the equation. Rapid is clearly not welcome in the community and yet he chooses to stay silent. Your best option is to put him on a blacklist until he decides to come forward with his version of events.

I mean all i read from many others are only phrases that seperate people from each other viewpoints even more. Rus brain dousnt want to change our opinion on this topic but he sees a bit further then that. Would be nice to hear after all some more positive thoughts for our way as community.

That is more or less his job if it is less, which seems very likely, than leave him out. involving Rapid has clearly been a PR disaster. Rus_Brain should've known before hand that it would be. He needs PR agent to go over his ideas and choices before he actually goes through with them. Someone who can tell him "This is a bad idea."

Ultimately Rus's decision comes down to whether inviting Rapid along with however many Korean pros would net him more viewers. Clearly, he thinks so. And if so, good for him. It's not really PR, the raw numbers tell the story.

My goal is to prevent schism of this community, which is already facing a very certain future of eventual shrinking without the injection of new blood. the community is shrinking so we're recruiting potential child abusers? Yet, it seems that there is a lack of interest in fostering mutual respect, as no one has reached out to discuss this further. I believe Rapid gave up his side of mutual respect voluntarily a long time ago

You can not look at the numbers of the event itself in isolation though, specifically when its attached to a brand. The decisions made put the future of the brand and its future events in danger because of the terrible PR fallout. Also there is no telling if numbers would have been higher or lower because we dont have any recent events to compare this to. The PR fallout and potential loss of future donations to fund events is by itself already a "numbers" disaster. Negative PR affects the numbers.

If he projects that viewership will increase with Rapid getting Korean pros to his events, then it's actually in his best interest to keep bringing Rapid to events. That's his decision and ultimately, he's taking a gamble with that decision. It's possible that Rus has realized that doing so would actually NOT be in his best interest and now he's trying to find some middle ground (as he says himself) to save some face. Who knows at this point.
