Maru is too high, he chokes hard too often, I will put Rogue before.

Match-fixing dude.

A match fixer who was once the best Zerg in the world. Probably the ugliest spot of SC2 history.

Can anyone confirm/debunk the 2,5 million chinese viewers?

Over the whole lifespan of SC2 and considering how young Life still was, you're probably right. But still point is to not hypothezise on what if's, right?

Zest has many premier championships but never seriously discussed as a contender.
Zest is the best protoss in the history of the game for sure. I would definately put him as one of the greatest of all the races.
2x GSL Champion and 4x Finalist IEM Kato Champion and 3x Finalist GSL Super Tournament Champion Multiple Homestory Cup Champion

Well I don’t think he would have surpassed INno / Maru as terrans either way in LotV, the game was too fast paced imo

You know, at the end of Playoffs day 1 with 5 Zerg, 2 Terran and 1 Protoss I would never have expected this to even be a question. Maybe it's recency bias, or the excitement frying my brain, but I can't think of any other that could be. Katowice somehow manages to be routinely great.
Indeed. ByuN's Blizzcon and Soo's Kato spring to mind too, but I'm too excited now to think about it.

If you just stack up accomplishment, then its probably going to be Maru if he keep winning 2-3 more GSL in the coming years. But this IEM leave a bad taste in my mouth, its worse than the time he lost to sOs in Blizzcon because of how close he was to win it all.

I was rooting for Maru but if anyone else should have won it - it's Time/Oliveira. You just can't not love the dude. Such a Cinderella story, such a heartfelt moment.

It’s rogue and Serral than everyone else

This is the most unbelievable tournament I've ever seen. Congrats Oliveira!

Rogue palmares should put him 1st but given how he wasn’t dominant during Kespa era and thrived when zerg was very strong gives a shot to Maru.
However, depending on how long sc2 lasts in Korea, it might not matter since Maru is still quite young

Even that is debatable because competition in Code S is a lot shallower and Rogue is now out of play. This defeat makes me respect Rogue's mental fortitude even more, ex post. He might be the strongest of SCII GOAT contenders outside of Starcraft too, can imagine him being a great poker champion for instance.
