I'm not putting this season on Lebron (well aside from wanting to trade for Westbrook but Pelinka should have shut that down.) I just want to put a pin in this whole "Lebron makes everyone better" shit early because if you watched him this season, that normal praise of him doesn't apply.
The entire team disgusted me this year with just the way they handled themselves on the court and in the press. Never taking responsibility for themselves, straight up giving up on games, attacking the media and that's just Westbrook. But everyone was guilty of it to some degree or another.
I sincerely can't blame Vogel for the team not playing ANY defense all year long when for back to back seasons before this one he had the #1 ranked defense in the entire NBA. And it's not like it was his fault that a lot of his role players got traded off for aging stars that don't fit and have massive ego problems.
So there's blame to go all around here. The entire culture of this team was toxic from even before the season started. Westbrook and Anthony should never even have been traded for. But I can't just pretend that Lebron doesn't have a share of the blame too, this team was an absolute disaster from inside out this year and it seemed like his only idea for how to fix it was to just chase individual scoring numbers for himself. It looks to me like he gave up on this team at the All Star break but just wouldn't admit to it in public.

I really don't see how any team would want Westbrook after this but way too many teams have such egos that they think they are finally the one that can fix a troublesome player. He only knows how to play one way and he's increasingly ineffective as he grows older.

I agree on Vogel. Dude is a good coach saddled with a bad roster and 3 moody jerkhole stars.

You'd have to give me picks on picks to take him.

Oh, is Westbrook on an expiring contract? Some teams might actually want him (his expiring contract really) depending how good next year's free agency is.
And breaking news, Luol Deng is finally off the Lakers' payroll.

He will be on an expiring next season. It's still a 40 million cap hit tho.

this season was over as soon as they traded for westbrook, no one thought he would be a good fit other than lebron
things wont get any better either, i bet they'll get a terrible fitting coach to replace vogel

That was an awesome game 1 between Boston and Brooklyn. A shame most of the other games have been garbage blow outs.

Well, the Nets dealt with so many injuries and other nonsense during the regular season that they are seeded too low for what they would be at anything close to full strength.

What are these Utah jerseys? Its like they think cosplay as Phoenix will transform them into Phx

Lost to a Mavs team without Doncic. Must be the uniforms.

is there no 8 second rule anymore in the NBA? every game theres at least a few time it could be called but never is

Brandon Ingram and Larry Nance Jr. were my favorite lakers during the rebuild years. Seeing them upset the best Suns team ever assembled is so fucking nice to me.
