Then the fact that korea doesnt have round robin, but seeds and play ins? And also, weren't koreans region locked?

Playing out the group stages over so many days kills the hype. But I am still looking forward to the bracket stage of EU. The scene has developed in a way where the top 8 of EU is so far above everyone else that the group stages feel a bit pointless regardless of the format.

I like the variety, not every tournament should be GSL style. That said the schedule is wonky and kind of hard to follow. Maybe just do the groups in order next time. Or like 2 matches per group a day instead of the mix and match.

The schedule could be better. Maybe every day has games only from two groups and 4 games from a group per a day. This would also give one whole day to prepare between matches. The issue of being lower prestige per match than in GSL-like groups is harder to solve and would probably require more marketing to raise interest in each match.

Especially when the group can easily have 1 or even 2 players that are pretty sure to get out. Bigger round-robin groups give everyone a better opportunity to show their skill. Simply generally seeding matters less in bigger groups. The schedule could be better. Maybe every day has games only from two groups and 4 games from a group per a day. Valid point, this format gives up and coming players much MUCH more visibility which is great in the long run because it gives them an incentive to keep on playing and putting efforts into getting better. But from an entertainment point of view i'd rather see the best players get to play each other as soon as possible instead of watching Ziggy and Gerald fighting each other in a quite low stake BO3.

The best players will meet in the playoffs. Let the others have their time in the limelight. Most of these people would have never seen a WCS main stream.
