Innovations beat rogue and serral won his bo1 against maru, still qn impressive zvt showing.

The best part of post-premier tournament threads is that everyone starts debating stuff. Half the time I forget what my positions are, I just reply for the sake of keeping the debate going haha

To be fair, Neeb also had to qualify for Kespa cup so that counts for something.

Plenty of historic runs/moments in starcraft history would have come down to single maps you don't realise.
I'm sure plenty of players who lost in ro32s/16s would have ended up winning those tournaments if a final map went the other way.

Yeah, you edited that in.

I'm usually happy for Serral and all but watching the two players I wanted to make Blizzcon the most get eliminated by him in close series has officially made me not want him to win Blizzcon. Maru got this

He can definitely be counted among the best foreigners of all time but he can't be considered a bonjwa yet, he just hasn't won enough against koreans to be considered a bonjwa in the true sense of the word.

Although I agree the idea that his run was much worse/better than Neeb's is strange. Neeb had ridiculous bracket/meta luck and Serral only had to face two top players (stats and dark).

If you just take titles as the only metric it is roughly equal, sure. I love Neeb but how can anyone who followed their runs in both WCS and Kespa Cup/GSL vs the World say they are equal? The general dominance Serral showed in terms of gameplay and mental game is just not even comparable to Neeb imo. Do you really think that Neebs showing last year is equal to Serrals sheer dominance in everything he attends?

Pretty pumped for Blizzcon. Shame Scarlett and Reynor won't be there. I think Neeb will show up like he did in GSL.

No, that's just the standard version from American sports.
We get to do real evaluations. And it takes a lot more than being a single championship better than the guy from last year.

Well Lambo gets the unlucky spot of facing Maru at blizzcon. ShoWTimE also has to face Dark.
