Now, is that actually the case, or is this a GSL where anyone could win? I don't know the players well enough to make accurate predictions.

I would say any of those 4 could win easily, most people would count out Zest but hes clearly improving and PvT and PvP are his good matchups. Maru is the best player in the world right now so I wouldn't even say Classic is favoured but Classic has great PvT. TY is in good form and showed good TvP vs Trap and Classic in the groups.

Honestly all four players left have shown ridiculous skill ceilings in the past (TY being the only one without multiple starleague titles already), any of them could take it. But Classic is the only one I would say is currently near that skill ceiling, the other players have had better seasons (granted they're still some of the best out there). Maru is really good as well but I don't know how you beat Classic's PvT

the only other players with instincts of what to do in crisis/stay creative in crisis are probably like Mvp or sOs

TYs entire approach to the tank push changed after the pause, he started 2 liberators immediately after the pause, the pause gave him time look at Gumi's army and realize the low cyclone count edit: doesnt maru alwyas beat ty

What is the right play, actually? I think resuming from an earlier point is messed up. I mean, I'm not mad about it or anything, but thinking about it, the whole situation poses problems I'm not sure how to solve. It might have been more fair to start a new game, though that also throws a lot of prep out the window.

He makes games chaotic and weird because that's his style and it gives him the best chance of winning. He's admitted that he doesn't have the mechanics of a Maru or INnoVation, so he puts games into positions where that doesn't matter. Winning chaotic games when that's your go-to playstyle isn't the same as having great crisis management. Even TY better than Gumiho in terms of responding to something sudden or unexpected, especially in the other matchups.
