It does not get more fair. I'm pretty sure it would be fairer if people from the same group could end up in the same half. And honestly for an actual bracket draw it's pretty anti-climactic when there's a 50% chance a certain match-up happens before half the players got drawn. Granted I've been 100% sure ByuN vs TY would happen in the Ro8 for months now, but a bit of suspense would have been nice Needed full champions league draw level, 1 hour long ceremony for a 1 minute draw. Get old sc2 pros like MVP and NesTea special guests drawing the balls etcetc haha.

Also, neeb somehow avoiding terran players completely until the final or possibly the entire event? Why would a foreigner in the finals a bad thing? I mean there has been not so deserving KR players in Blizzcon finals in the past as well iirc. Plus they would have to beat Dark or the man who beat Dark to get there so it's not free at all. However if Neeb beats Dark he has a free semi, except if ShoWTimE can beat him which is possible.
It isn't a bad thing. I just wanna make sure that the bracket process was fair and decided upon before the players qualified. Seems to me like a system where each player who makes it out of the group knows exactly where they go in a bracket based on their group placing makes the most sense. 3 foreigners on a single side just APPEARS to be a little lucky IMO.

A system like that encourages players to throw since being second is sometimes better than being first. Also people are awful at probability, and always think brackets are rigged. 3 foreigners on a single side had 2/9 chances of happening.
What always surprises me is which brackets elicit community scrutiny. I've seen many more accusations of rigging against Dreamhack's brackets where fan favourite repeatedly eliminate each other in the early rounds (something undesirable to the organizers), than against the KeSPA cup brackets which have consistently had the minimal number of mirror match-up in the opening rounds, a much more unlikely event.

TY hasn't lost a TvT series in all of LoTV just putting it out there. He's lost the odd map or bo1 but he's undefeated in series.

TY's played a lot more TvTs than Neeb has played PvPs against Koreans, but yeah anything is possible.

TY played 25 BO3+ TvT series in LotV (23 vs Koreans), pretty big difference.

Really don't like Byun vs TY this early. As if we weren't low enough on Terran representatives already, now one of the last two is forced to eliminate the other.
Crappy.

Since they were capable of meeting in the finals yeah it's crappy especially for those of us who would like to see two TvX semi finals ^^.

I love Byun's play but honestly TY would have high chance to win the whole thing, Byun seems much more vulnerable than TY . I think we will most likely have Dark vs TY in the final, if there is any upset, it must be on the lower bracket since I dont see Dark could lose to any of the 3 foreigners.

agree with you, if there is hype for foreigners, it's only about the nationalism but not the skills and performances. Of course it's not wrong to hope for more foreigners that can actually compete with Koreans, but the skill cap of the Korean is simply unreachable . Remember the time we had when Innovation, Maru, Life,TY, SOS were on their peaks, foreigners just never can play like that.

I don't know why people didn't appreciate non-korean players' play.. I just followed sc2 scene since 2015.. and comparing of 2015 and 2016 plays, I think some non-korean actually produced great storyline, tactics, mindgames, and interesting styles Koreans got similar playstyles so it is boring to see all korean vs korean in Blisscon Adding foreigners' unique style actually make this blisscon more hyped than in 2015
