yeah they shouldn't be invited because they are too good. Just unfair that some players are better than other ones. because koreans are shit apart from the top tier. And foreigners? Shit regardless of tier, I guess. Might be the first HSC I won't watch, at all. edit: with all those Koreans cancelling due to one of the VERY few KR tournaments overlapping schedule-wise, did you consider postponing HSC? I know, getting so many people together is quite a feat, but missing out on all those Koreans, which have become an integral part of HSC throughout the years, is really a shame tbh :/ Then don't watch. It will be a great tournament nonetheless. And thats coming from a person that loves Korean Starcraft. And no postponing is no option. You don't see a Dreamhack or IEM postpone either. Quite bad comparison to make, but thank you for your answer nonetheless. glhf
How is it a bad comparison? IEM; Dreamhack; HSC; are all major tournaments - you do not simply postpone it. You have to go through the process of applying to Blizzard; getting your date accepted; promoting and inviting players. While tons of players can say yes or no immediately the Koreans always talk a while and SPL3 schedule wasnt out and no one was willing to give it to us before so as you can see. PP is no option.

Thank you very much for providing additional insights. It's a bad comparison when you look at what's surrounding these major tournaments, DH originally is the biggest LAN-party in the world with tons of other games getting covered and played there, IEM is another huge event which hosts multiple games. Compared to HSC, which is a SC2-only tournament especially catering to our community, they have to consider even more stuff when organizing their events. Listen, I understand that application procedures with Blizzard are likely the same and I didn't want to pick a fight with you, I just wanted to know if there's a possibility to have those beloved Koreans of ours at your event, as that's what a lot of people were hoping for this year, I guess. Still as a long-time viewer of HSCs I wanted to express my regret towards the situation and regarding this year's WCS "dilemma" this event was one of the very few opportunities I was hoping for, it is what it is, though.
So sorry to have apparently triggered your anger with my post, I wish you a very successful tournament and the greatest of times.

Sad to see Serral and Welmu in the same group but let's hope they will only meet in the winners match. Good luck with the event. I'm sure it will be a blast.

That's some gross passive aggression. Opening with your disappointment of no korean participation being strong enough to not watch at all in a rude manner, calling a comparison of HSC to IEM and Dreamhack a "bad" comparison with your reason being HSC is a SC2 only tournament making the lineup more important, irrelevant to the comparison that was being made (which was addressing the impossibility of postponing; a lineup being more important can't transcend possibility). A fight wasn't picked either, he gave you a regular response to a statement you didn't originally expand on.
It feels so troll reading stuff like 'those beloved Koreans' and wishing upon us the greatest of times in a sea of sarcasm, but it also feels like you believe in the main things you say leaving me utterly confused. I am so triggered right now.

No, of course not, but as current WCS rules prevent Koreans from participating in most overseas competition and HSC isn't categorized as a WCS event, it could've been one of the most promising tourneys of 2016 (only Blizzcon topping it for me personally), now we're stuck with basically another WCS event with the same foreign players over and over again.
Just saying that my conclusion is not to watch since I don't want to support this segregation of players (not implying anything like this happening at HSC!), nothing more.

As a viewer how am I supposed to show my feelings towards certain decisions/situations? Only thing I can do is giving feedback and/or say I will or won't watch it. Sorry that this is confusing to you, it might come across as passive aggressiveness, but it's really just trying to behave and having a respectful conversation. My points stand as they are, won't go back on them, I was asking a genuine question, sure, could've worded it better/more neutral, but I'm expressing my opinion and that should be legit, as well, no?

Well done TaKe. ur the best at making groups. (Group B lel)
i just wished you could seed the WCS tournaments... the way YOU do it

It's just a bit funny that this is the tournament you boycott when it's the only major organization to very deliberately turn down the entire WCS system in order to produce content that you're asking for.
It's not their fault that things with Kespa didn't work out. Just bad circumstances all around, and HSC gets to be doubly punished. Not only do they not get the WCS perks, but the fans that they were looking out for and trying to please still scorn their tournament. Sucks.

I dont watch it either, but kinda glad that mine (or yours) isnt the most popular opinion. 17k viewers on the english stream alone is very nice. The game needs this, especially now.
