After 15 years on the shelf, and various permutations of riffing over bad, b-movies and/or releasing audio tracks to go with blockbusters like Harry Potter, or Twilight (Cinema Titanic and Rifftraxx respectively) Mystery Science Theatre 3000 is coming back for 3 episodes at least, with up to an entire season provided their kickstarter campaign reaches its extended goal.
To recap again what the show is all about, networks back in the day owned a lot of B movies they could show to fill time. None were especially good, and for a good while they had sat unused until Joel Hodgson came up with an idea about how they could be used. He drew up the plot points (man shot into space, and made to watch bad movies to help mad scientists take over the planet, its not too important, you should really just relax).
Three years ago, I wrote a blog entitled, For the Love of Bad Movies about that and have continued my fanboyism for the show and style of these comedians ever since. Including going to see a Rifftraxx Live for Sharknado last Summer. You may have seen some of the events advertised at your local theatre if you're in the states.
This has been adapted to its logical conclusion in the spoiler below, I appreciate your support in this election

I for one, could not be more excited. For once the cyclical nature of Hollywood has come up Milhouse, and something excellent like this happens. Ok so there is Star Wars in December, a Star Trek TV reboot potentially (*Not without its caveats)... so fine it is a great time to be a nerd while the wheels in out West turn, but MST3k is probably my all time, tip top, best TV show and I think you should give it a go too, if only to learn about great charities like: HELPING CHILDREN THROUGH RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT and Walkathon
Logically this means: Hi, Everyone. Let's Pitch In 'N' Get Cracking Here In Louisiana Doing Right, Eh? Now Then. Hateful Rich Overbearing Ugly Guys Hurt Royally Everytime Someone Eats A Radish, Carrot, Hors d'oeuvre, And Never Does Dishes. Eventually, Victor Eats Lunch Over Peoria Mit Ein Neuesberger Tod.
I know by now you must be wondering, "...but TJS, where can I find this classic comedy program which informed your exquisite sense of humor and wit?" I am happy to say that a simple search for MST3k on Youtube will link hundreds if not all the episodes from the Pilot which was originally on Minneapolis Public Access TV, all the way to that bittersweet final episode.
Give it a go, I personally recommend Space Mutiny as one of the better starting episodes, and if it strikes a fancy. I look forward to conversing in great detail about this all too temporary reboot.
WE GOT MOVIE SIGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
