What part of Miami do you live in?
I live on the side where all the kids want to be thugs, but if they go to Ol' Cutler(or ghouls) they'd turn into preacher boys. lolol

Much like this: if you do it right, you'd scare the living fuck out of him.

I'd just say let the law handle it; they're not all corrupt. If anything, you could probably escalate it to a higher authority, but it probably shouldn't get that far. Besides, you'll end up screwing up your life for what you deem is basically a worthless sack of shit, which just isn't worth it. Finally, imagine both of you in the future: you'll probably be successful and happy, while he'll probably have a really screwed up life and depressed because of all the bad decisions he's made. Just use whatever legal recourse you have and then just let it drop.

Since you can't go into the sun for 6 months, what you should focus on doing now is making the best possible recovery/getting money. Revenge certainly isn't a viable option atm due to your condition, so reconstructing your life is definetly your top priority right now. After you've recovered, you still shouldn't make any moves, take your time to make sure your financial situation and social life are back in order, then make plans to move to another city or even another country. While you're doing all this, make sure you keep a tab on his movements so he can't do shit like try and finish you off or leave town. Once this has been accomplished and you've waited long enough, make your move. Find the dipshit, beat the fuck out of him and break a few bones. Once you're satisfied with the damage you've done (I wouldn't recommend killing him, but what happens is what happens), leave his sorry ass in shambles and make your exodus from town. Move far away so it'll be difficult for him to exact his own revenge and start your new life. If you're religious, you should probably take the time to pray for forgiveness (sure the fucker deserved it, but its contrary to the christian way [although i wouldn't know], isn't it?) and try to live a clean life. Following a plan similar to this should give you some closure knowing he's experienced a pain similar to the one you're experiencing now and should allow you to have an improved chance of avoiding legal punishment and retaliation from him. You obviously shouldn't do shit like this because its just as wrong as what he did to you, but I figured if I was in your position, I'd want to do shit like this so I could sleep comfortably at night again. Either way, I hope you make a full recovery and that this fucked up incident doesn't ruin your whole life.

Forget about the other guy. He obviously lives a dangerous lifestyle and it'll likely get him killed, anyway. Just let the next guy he screws over kill him: don't waste your future or even a dollar on him. (Of course, if this happened to me, I would probably want to hurt/kill him at first, too.)

pursue legal action. be patient. there's no need to rush this and if i were yo id make damn sure this guy got put away. if it all somehow fails, i do believe vigilante justice is an option.
