I mentioned in my last blog, that we were moving into a new apartment. Yesterday, we did the brunt of the moving. The new apartment, new perhaps more aptly put in quotation marks, was built in the 1880s and is a three story condo we are currently renting from a friend. Well technically the lease starts May 1st so I suppose technically we are just doing some very involved squatting in the apartment.
The view out the back patio from the kitchen, our lower deck overlooks the river
Kitchen in disarray, currently a work in progress. That range is an induction range which is new to me, I anticipate several botched dinners before I get the hang of it.
Kitchen part two, counter top with bar stool-able opposite side into the living area for the first floor
Main living area, all this stuff was moved up 3 flights of stairs in 4 hours, there is more upstairs @___@, According to the brother's fit bit, we climbed more than 80 floors by the time all was said and done.
Down to the front door, up to the second story
Second story living room, tired girlfriend, nervous puppy. Behind them wall mount for TV, working fireplace.
Nerd Den 1/2, important things get set up first
Nerd Den 2/2, Internet achieved after 45 minutes of dealing with Comcast and their crack support.
Bedroom, exposed brick from the unit below us's fireplace
View out the front windows as we go up to the third floor, Cathedral of Saint Paul, James J. Hill house (Midwestern Railroad mogul from the early portion of the 20th century) to the left of that
Third floor kitchenette, mainly for entertaining, these were tacked onto the lower unit in the last 30 years or so, the door to the right leads to my favorite bit of the apartment
Rooftop Patio
Our neighbors had a hot tub craned up to the rooftop, time to make new friends
All in all I am tired as fuck. My feet are sore, my arms are sore, my legs are sore, which is making all the stairs in this place a bit of a challenge but the hard part is over and we are getting an excellent deal on this place considering. Now it is just time to get the rest of the place set up and in working order, as the GF and her family go back to the old place to pick up the misc that got left behind yesterday.

You've worked hard. It looks like a great place, I hope you enjoy it.

Beautiful flow to the place! I like the rooftop patio with the kitchenette next to it! I like the kitchen finishings too. Congrats on the move!

Looks really nice, although I'd also like to see views from outside of the exterior, personally.

Congrats that you got that apartment, looks really nice. Nothing worse than moving in or out, though. I definitely do not envy that.

I forgot to mention enjoy the weather, I thought it's cold in New York but Minnesota is another level.
