WCS NA Season 2 Final Thoughts + Pics

Hello all! I'm back from the finals and decided to create a separate entry for the finals (click here for Ro16 pics). I wanted to write a few thoughts before I bombard you all with pictures about attending WCS NA matches live.

I went into the Round of 16 matches thinking that I would just be attending and hopefully seeing some good Starcraft matches while snapping a few pictures for myself (and to share on TL). I came away meeting some really amazing people and hopefully I can network with the folks at ESL and Blizzard down the road.

I was really impressed by the ESL team and what they did to revamp WCS NA. To think of how dead we thought WCS was here when NASL flopped and to see the roars of the crowds today is pretty unbelievable. The player base in NA may never flourish but the fan base is still strong here.

One person that I want to give a special shoutout to is Bomber. Of all the progamers, I got a chance to talk with Bomber about a variety of things (in Korean) and came away genuinely liking the guy as a person. It made me root for him to go all the way (even though I'm a Zerg player) and so the feelings I have to see him fall short is one of sadness. Still I know that he has many more tournaments coming up and opportunities to keep winning and I'll continue to support him, Bomber Law or no Bomber Law. 최지성 화이팅!
