hopefully we learn more about these terminus people though.

Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

Overall, I thought the episode was alright. The flashbacks were well done, in my opinion. I was a little surprised they resolved Joe's bandit group that quickly, but made sense once the whole episode ended to save time for Terminus scenes. I wonder how next season will start off? We still have to know what Tyreese, Carol, and Beth are up to.

Now the bad. The whole encounter between Daryl and Rick's group in the first half sucked. No, not just because the fight sequence was robotic, but in how sloppily it all served to shove Daryl back into the fold. Surely I'm not the only one who found the new gang leader to be interesting? I think it sucks in how fast he got killed off and turned on Daryl without really hearing him out. With some simple adjusting of the order of events in the last 8 episodes they could have at least had Daryl traveling with the group for more than 1 episode. More importantly as to why it's bad as a finale, is that it wasn't shocking, nor thought-provoking, or even very complete in closing out everyone's arc in the last 8 eps (where's Beth? Tyresse and Carol couldn't get a scene?). To me that's unacceptable given how much the show's been seemingly betting the farm on the finale. Terminus has been set up as the nexus for each group this season and this is all there is in the end? The show's been too placid for the last 8 episodes and this is all we get until s5? You have one of the most dynamic episodes in the series in the middle of the season and you follow it up with this? The incredibly vague title and preview was to conceal this?! Rick's sitting alone covered in blood at the beginning of the episode, but nvm everyone is fine. It's just Rick having another one of his psychologically-straining moments, don't worry he'll persevere... Nope, nobody dies. No point of no return is crossed by anyone. Just a bad situation with a few questions still lingering on from this season. Lame. Save me Game of Thrones! I'm hoping that season 5 can start shifting it's gears. Guess I'll read the comics since I don't have the patience to wait. P.S Really thought Carl was going to die and Beth to be cannibalized And Game of Thrones next week!

Did anyone else hear screams from one of the containers while Rick and co. were being ''led'' to the fence. If I did, that means there are more people being trapped. This makes it quite obvious that they are being kept trapped for eating later. Also inb4 Carol, Tyreese and the baby save the day! :D

The foreshadowing in the beginning of the episode of Rick lecturing Carl in hunting, the rooftop camera point of view, and Terminus' funnel layout was evident enough of them herding Rick's group.

Previously, they made it seem like they were survivalists who lived by a certain set of (harsh) rules, and the leader was somewhat interesting. This episode, they were just barbaric, bloodlusty brutes. Was the creepy looking guy trying to rape Carl? Anyway, Tyreese and Carol to the rescue! Yeah he was. I thought that whole scene played out like one of those shitty exploitation movies, maybe that was what they were going for.

The episode was kind of okay, but for a season finale pretty much nothing unexpected happened. I didn't predict the group of rednecks being killed, I guess, but that was just the easiest way for the writers to get Daryl back into the main group. Also, what the heck was with that random guy at the start who got eaten by zombies? Who was he? What was he doing out in the middle of nowhere with just a stick as a weapon? How the hell did he survive that long without grasping the concept of running away from zombies? Why did he cry for help in the middle of nowhere? Again, how the hell did someone like that ever survive that long in the first place? That scene just left me scratching my head in confusion.

Like, I can't imagine them being like "Welcome to Terminus! Join our cult or get eaten!" to every person walking in there. Fucking weird ass place. ~_~

They wanted them to hit a dead end and be shoved into a crate with everyone else. Was scared to death they were gonna blow Carl away at the end and just end it with slow zoom up of Rick's face as the ending. I wasn't sure if that was the case, but yeah I read that elsewhere after posting. ikd i just felt like this whole episode could have been done much better off. The dialogue and pacing through the claimed group and just before they got to Terminus was really good. But they rely on flashbacks way too much for obvious stuff. I just didn't care for the whole terminus thing overall. Telegraphed, left with zero info even for a cliffhanger. Meh meh.

If Rick, Daryl, and Michonne can get themselves out of a situation like the one in the first half in the episode, then the situation they're in should be no problem. Also, it's a line almost straight from the comic books. Some of you guys thought it was cheesy but I almost squealed in excitement. + Show Spoiler + Overall, it was a great episode but it feels more like a mid-season finale. They need to start figuring out how they should end each season.

Carol starts killing civilians off and then gets banished, Hershel dies, the prison gets destroyed, Carol has to kill her adopted kids, we meet the three new characters, Beth gets kidnapped, Rick devolves from a farmer into a throat-tearing survivalist, and the group gets kidnapped by what seems to be cannibals. But yeah aside from completely changing the dynamic of the show and killing off a main character and having character development, nothing happened.
