Honestly Tristana is a mana guzzler when you start Rocket Jumping. Having Rapid Fire for free takes a lot of pressure off of using it in lane and early fights, I think it's a pretty solid buff. I'll probably start playing her since Caitlyn really hasn't been doing it for me lately. Too bad she has no good skins.
Re: Nasus. Range nerfs from a while back do hurt, but playing him a bit he's still the big dog of top lane. Who beats this dude?

Yeah Darius is a classic I guess, you never see him though.
Renekton gives me no real trouble. You have to respect him early game but after a Chain Vest and level 6 you're pretty safe, and Renektons always get hypey trying to deny you and then you kill them.
Trundle is always fun and has a decent match-up vs Nasus, but like everyone else his advantage starts to fade after level 9 and is entirely gone by level 11.

i imagine ryze must be annoying for nasus and they both scale incredible well into late game

You don't see many ranged champions anymore. Haven't played vs a Ryze but from the Ryze perspective I question if he can put on sufficient pressure to cause Nasus trouble.
I used to main Kennen top myself but I stopped mostly because Nasus becomes impossible to deal with after a point.
BTW keep in mind I've been on a massive Hearthstone binge since January and have only played about 25 ranked games since then.

trynd easy. just play jax or nasus and win short exchanges or long fights. teemo just annoying as hell i'd say play mundo and just cleaver farm or something and win later. jax, just play someone who doesn't have to do extended trades, renekton or malph come to mind. darius i never really have problems vs him so idk.
pretty much easiest solution for top lane atm for me though is just play mundo and play safe until 9 or so and cleaver them in the face repeatedly for kill after that. trynd pretty good too if you can play it smart level 1 (stack rage get dat crit and win rest of lane) or if you want to have fun you play quinn.

Ryze is a free kill for the jungler if he ganks for Susan early. Wither+no escape+going to be inevitably pushed up trying to win control of the lane from doge=yeaaaah
Additionally, it depends on whether or not susan can sustain through Ryze's mana pool: because if/when he does, Ryze is a sitting duck and doge seizes control of the lane then.
As with Alzadar, however, it's been awhile and hearthstone+d3 means I haven't touched LoL for a while, minus TLLOLOTGDGN.

I'm so confused by this post. I'd assume you were addressing my question but then you start talking about Tryndamere and Jax which have pretty poor match-ups against Nasus. No way does Mundo "win later" against the Curator either.

Teemo is the most obvious answer to a Nasus top counter. Since he's not exactly the most useful after the nerf and with today's meta though, panth can really mess up Nasus's day. Another viable option, and my favorite even though not as strong as the first two, is Kayle.
Nasus should never be allowed to farm vs a Kayle. He should never be able to get stacks.

how do u combo as velkoz, i am using EWQ currently. And also if some1 jumps on me like kz, wtf should i do?

as for people who beat him... choose people who can zone him from farm. teemo dominates, shyv does okay during laning, rumble works, quinn can zone him entire lane phase and i'm pretty sure garen wrecks him with his Q whenever he gets withered

There is no such thing as a free kill

All of those are fringe picks nobody plays, so in the end it's easier to just pick Nasus myself.

Wait. Did karthus seriously not have extra AP from deathcap and no voidstaff mrshred when he was in zombie form? How long has this been the case?? ?
