Anyway this should be an awesome match. I am really looking forward to it. Its been a great year for both of these players. There are a number of websites that have begun converting them--they essentially act as exchanges

I'm really curious as to who the guest could be.
If he has to take someone from America, I hope it's Day9 or IdrA. Him and Apollo would be a nice reunion.

whoever wins it should just hold on to the bitcoins imo, unless the money is desperately needed

Thats the good thing about the prize. You can either cash out, play it out or even do both, which i would probably do.

Idra def, he is the best analytical caster in SC2 and he works really well with TB. I honestly think it's an outrage that he is not casting more majors/premiers, especially considering the often lackluster quality of casting.

Go Scarlett! Hope you can overcome your Protoss woes.

One bitcoin is now worth $733, down 12-14%
Expecting to drop further due to regulations in China.

Bo7 only? Atleast Bo69 (like Snute vs BabyKnight a while ago xD)
Go Scarlett!

The thing is, Scarlett is the best overall. Her ZvT is top 10 in the world. But when it comes to a PvZ match up with Naniwa, I think Naniwa is the favourite.

Looking at TLPD: Scarlett 58% vP Naniwa 58% vZ

did bitcoin crash today? It's down from 925 to 720. Prize pool just went from 11k to 8k6 in 16 hours.
The match is in the 21st, interesting to see how the prize pool changes from now till then.

That's over Naniwas 3+ year history. Lately he's been good at vZ, only losing to top Zergs like Life and Soulkey. And Scarlett's recent vP is shaky to say the least, she lost to Hitman 3-1 and barely beat gunghowhatever at zotac 3-2. Unless Scarlett completely changes her game, Naniwa has a significant matchup advantage.

The sad thing is this showmatch was put on to try and bring awareness to bitcoins but people who are unfamiliar with the currency are just seeing the negative side at the moment

Definitely looking forward to this event! Having the top two foreigners (by a pretty large margin imo) duke it out is pretty awesome I wonder how much the outcome of this showmatch is going to impact the "who is better" argument though... while it can certainly temporarily settle the argument (as they're both pretty even at the moment), I think it'll have less effect if the loser ends up performing considerably better in tournaments over the next few months.

Given that this is actually being advertised as a showmatch with a "huge prize pool", it's a little unsettling that the prize pool is in a new "currency" that fluctuates as wildly as bitcoins. If they wanted to actually advertise an epic prize pool, they should have just agreed upon a large sum of actual money, so that it doesn't arbitrary diminish like crazy on any given day of the week. This prize pool can just as easily go from being the "largest" to the smallest in no time lol.

I'd hope that the showmatch was made to create an epic showdown between the two best foreigners, rather than to merely familiarize new people with a new currency >.> I'm watching for the quality of games, not for the prize pool (however much money that ends up actually being in the long run).
