Sponsors for these things don't care about "epic showdowns" they care about marketing their product. In this case bitcoin.

I agree, although the same hype for the showmatch (read as: sponsored product) wouldn't exist without an incentive to watch, like having the top two foreigners play.

Finally we can decide the whole debate! Thank you TB.

Although, looking at the images, there appears to be some AxiomAcer bias in image selection - Scarlett has the better (by far) player picture and looks remarkably badass. Naniwa just looks bored.

Advantage, Scarlett.
Yes, I email sponsors... to thank them. Don't post drunk, kids. My king, what has become of you?

Usually, I'd 100% say that Protoss wins this. However, Scarlett has proven to be insanely good vs aggressive Protoss. I'm still calling Naniwa, but I really just want a good series.

And its working great! Looking at the people who are semi-speculators; "will it go up, go down, continue to crash.." etc etc. Its not like they have to exchange their bitcoins when winning the showmatch, they can keep it till it goes up again

they'll get what has been promised: 12btc. Which could be a lot less than what it looked to be at the beginning of the announcement.

Well the important thing is that regardless of whether or not an event would be absolutely ruined, you'd be able to feel smug and superior to everyone who made this happen, so there's that.

Well your prizepool actually lost 10+% of its value today. But better take it too ad hominems against a mere poster.

The players are paid in Bitcoins. The value of a Bitcoin in your currency doesn't matter.

The thing is, Scarlett is the best overall. Her ZvT is top 10 in the world. But when it comes to a PvZ match up with Naniwa, I think Naniwa is the favourite.

Looking at TLPD:
Scarlett 58% vP
Naniwa 58% vZ

That's over Naniwas 3+ year history. Lately he's been good at vZ, only losing to top Zergs like Life and Soulkey. And Scarlett's recent vP is shaky to say the least, she lost to Hitman 3-1 and barely beat gunghowhatever at zotac 3-2. Unless Scarlett completely changes her game, Naniwa has a significant matchup advantage.

nono that's just over hots

Oh my mistake, but the point is still the same. Naniwa vZ > Scarlett zP.

Acer > EG.Swe.

Mhh honestly I see Naniwa as a All In machine. He will execute his stuff down pretty good no question. But if he has do adept I dont see him doing well. Scarlet on the other hand is able to execute her stuff down pretty well but also adept. I see her as a much more complete gamer. And she is not such a dickhead like Naniwa so gl Scarlet. And I do not understand why people cheering for him

Isn't Hitman an aggressive Protoss?
