So I guess so far for me it's 1. Clannad, 2. YMK, 3.KS, 4. Himawari no Shoujo (Only because of the ending was too predictable) I'm currently reading Grisaia no Kaijutsu, it's starting to get interesting finally.

It looks interesting but I'd like to get some opinions on it before I consider picking it up. (I haven't played any games in the series if that helps)

It's really snowbally. If no one your team dies then it's easy. If a lot of people on your team die, then it can become impossible. I like the original better, but the interface is pretty wonky and there's a lot of BS. Not just your simple RNG BS, but more like enemy always takes first turn, and then they happen to mind control the guy with the rocket launcher on your team and before you can even move all 16 of your guys die in a rocket blast + panic attack.

I really like XCEU, but there are some valid criticisms to be made of the base game. The biggest is that it can really struggle to maintain the balance between too hard and too easy. If you can get it on the cheap (was $10 several places last month) I'd highly recommend, otherwise it might make sense to wait for the inevitable expansion and such.

I played the original X Coms a lot and watched a couple lets plays of XCEU to see if it was going to be worth it, and ultimately decided that I wasn't going to buy it. If you really want a highly strategic, hard as fuck turn based game, just buy the originals on Steam, there's a pack for them that's like 5$ or something silly because they're so old. Still really good games. You have to know what you're getting into playing the original X Com though. If you're not reloading saves every time something goes wrong and playing it on the hardest difficulty, you're talking several hundred hours of playtime per playthrough because every mission is going to take you at least an hour since the only way to play is to move 1-2 tiles at a time and act like there's an alien with a grenade who can one shot your entire team in every spot you don't have vision of, because this is often what's actually there.

Pretty expensive to send stuff, so I mostly only get letters and the odd package. A friend sent me Kendrick Lamar's good kid maad city (which is an incredible album and anyone who likes hip hop should listen to it), so maybe I can get her to send me some anime. Although ending it after the first half would have been super awesome and mind blowing. Also. EarthBound might be one of my favorite RPGs of all time and I only just got the second character into my party. I just love everything about it. P.S. Pretty stumped by why Req and Slusher are banned and armless people are being punned upon, but I am on a mission to catch up now!

Tbh I had to look up a couple things for normal OOT, blows my mind children were able to figure some of this shit out back in the day. Maybe they had more time to just try everything out, but a couple times I looked something up and was like "how the hell was I supposed to know that!?." You can ask Asmo about it, I yelled about it to him over chat.

I don't even WANT to go into how long it took me to figure out how to get inside jabu jabu...
