I used to paint walls, billboards, and trains in my teens and early twenties all the time. I'm sure most of it is all gone though. I probably have some old photographs of some of it somewhere.

Update:
R&R 8x10 - sold 60$
SYN (Babylonian cuneiform) 11x14 - sold 50$
Had 11x14
All 3 connected
I've been getting pretty steady commissions right now and even did a few art events/live painting. 'SYN' above is actually for a LA hip-hop artist and he said it was going to be a integral part of his next project (crossing fingers for album cover). Got invited to another local artwalk for next month as well as the blackbook sessions a couple days later. I made up some crappy business cards real fast too and ironically someone pointed out they are pretty uncreative for an artist.
Right now, I'm working on a beer label for a friend who is trying to open a bistro and has a bunch of craft brews she is demoing tomorrow (very short notice), but it looks good. And after that I have a big 3ftx2ft painting to do for a previous buyer who wants another., Another hat to a previous buyer, and then hopefully a bunch of other paintings to another previous buyer.

Great artwork! None as wonderfully cheesy as your UMS maps of course. Although, I think that just might be a good thing.
welcome back.

Update: 07-18-13
SpoR Space - 16x20
SpoR Thruster - 8x10
Space Face - 16x20
Gonna be doing another Artwalk display tomorrow (or later today technically). They have been getting bigger and better every month, hoping for more traffic this time (same offpath location). Then on Saturday I'm doing a Blackbook Session art event thing again. I'll be doing live painting at both again.
Hopefully I will be finished with that 3 foot by 2 foot painting by the end of the week because now I am broke and need to pay my rent with that painting. #StarvingArtist lol
PS- I need a better camera, Everything looks like shit here and 1000000000000000 times better in person.

Update 07-22-13
Did another HB artwalk, also got invited back, requested a different higher foot traffic area this time.. There was a lot of wind which was also annoying. Didn't really connect to any other artists this time, just working on my painting the entire time.
Did the BBS event, arrived late because my friend's phone was OOM. Once we finally got setup it started raining (mid july in so cal lol), so we had to reset somewhere else, which basically made us 2 hours late. This event was a lot smaller than the other BBS events but it was still cool. I will be doing these forever if I can.
Going to look for more events to attend next month.
I think i am like 95% done with this commission I have been working on for the past few weeks. I think it needs more yellow outline or maybe just some more flare around the edges. Some of the 3Ds are off too. I'll sleep on it.
So Swift 2 - 3x2 feet - Sold $500

Update 08-29-13: Participated in another HB artwalk (I'm pretty much a regular now). They finally gave me a good spot right on the main street. Got a lot of people looking and complimenting. Thing I have noticed though, is my demographic doesn't respond to the pricing (it's usually people age teen to 30) who generally aren't going to spend money on art/don't have excess income for it + Show Spoiler +(UNLESS ITS FUCKING TATTOOS BRO). Got placed next to the one dude from the first artwalk again, we talked it up a bit, helped each other out etc. Cool guy. Spent a lot of the time working on a hat. Was working on a sales technique where I sort of stood away from my table and waited for people to walk up, then I walked up behind them and either jumped in on people's convo "yea, these are dope" or implying I was just another walkby "I like this one the best" type of thing. Eventually switching into me being the artist, haha.
I also did this metal show out in Pomona or something, where my friend and I just did live painting in the back while people drank lots of beer, promoted some clothing company, and different So Cal bands played. I'm not really a metal fan but I appreciate when an instrument is played well and some of these guys were really technical. I think the lead guitarist on 'Voices Of Ruin'? Also, there was another band whom one of the singers came to talk to me and my friend and he noticed my Lurker table and started talking SC/SC2. He was saying how he watches WCS and stuff. (will find band name flyer). My friend and I actually drove down there on a whim with barely enough money for gas and we got sidetracked on a couple freeways and probably wouldn't have had enough gas to make it home, so it was very fortunate that he got commissioned for a sketch ($60) of some guy's wife while we were there. We got gas and a lot of jack n the box tacos haha.
Anyway, I did a couple hats recently and I have been working on a few canvases and this 714 Brew label. The owner finally said she was planning to pay me 500$ for the label work, but the fact remains that she isn't going to be paying it anytime soon and I'm mostly not expecting it to be paid. That's whatever, but the bug about it is that she kept hitting me up to change stuff, then remove the stuff i changed, then add more stuff, etc (some of which I argued about the technicalities of in the first place). And then she wanted me to work on some other labels for like a light beer version and a root beer. I simply told her no, and she kept asking and begging. I'm sort of curious how she funds the promotions and photographers etc when she tells me she's basically homeless and put everything into this; took a 100k business loan out, has the beer on tap at a number of places, but can't pay me until it's on success street. On top of that, she seems to impulsively or 'last minute' ask for designs with like a 24-48 hour request for it to be ready for a certain event or something. Regardless of the payment and shadiness of it all, the short time frame is the biggest turn off for this. I don't want to rush my work and have a shitty sub par design even if you still think it looks 'amazing'. It's just not professional.
I'm pretty fucking broke right now, I can't pay my rent coming up in a few days here. I need a regular shit job to pay the necessities.
Ali-phant - sold 30$
Dizzer - sold 35$ (iron man face and a black power fist)

Update 11/1/13:
Haven't been as active with art stuff recently. I have picked up again a little more as of the last week+ though. I did 2 more artwalks, sold that goodbye kitty painting for 20$ and commissioned a hat. The next artwalk, no sales but had a lot of people interested that were supposed to call me for murals or custom paintings in their house etc but didn't. Not much you can do when it's an inbound positioned sale I guess. Did some art show event thing 70 miles away. And I just got wind of this program to paint utility boxes in a nearby city for a cash prize etc. Here is some of my recent works:
SpoR - Rock 16x20 (these last 2 actually connect together if you didn't notice already. I'm probably going to do more to both to make it more obvious.)
Fast Frank - sold 30$
I really like the rock one. The hat, the guy was adamant about what he wanted and how it was on the hat, so hard to make it look good. Looks like a skeleton with an afro imho lol
I'm basically done with another piece right now too, once it's polished up it's going to be displayed in a gallery in my city for a month or so. Pretty stoked on that. I'll post a pic soon.
