Well it's not like I'm going to convince everyone. I feel like Hapa is giving Oats way too much slack for his shoddy play. Hapa's lack of scum reads disturbs me a bit, but he's low on my priority list right now. I'm not gonna call anyone scum for disagreeing with me. I'm just a bit disappointed that Hapa doesn't agree with me =( Objectively bad play ("shoddy" play) isn't necessary scummy. For example, spurr-of-the-moment, crazy, emotional play is often 100% pure columbian townie. You seem suspicious of Oats for his sudden 180 on you, but I view that as fairly townie. He's not interested in covering his tracks, and despite him thinking you're town, isn't very interested in buddying you or being your friend. I can't detect a coherent scum/survivalist mentality. Then what do you make of the fact that he hasn't contributed much to the discussion and has only managed to murk up the thread will really silly sheeping/unexplained arguments and acting like an idiot.
You just described to me Oat's town-meta. I was more fishing for reactions with my policy-lynch talk earlier, but it wasn't entirely baseless when I brought it up.
Fuck me need to sleep.
Anyway Cora, this fight with Oats reads so much like a town-on-town fight. You seem more interested in voting him because he's being a dick rather than scum. It's a natural reaction, but not one that helps the town cause I'm afraid.

To be honest I am not too familiar with Oats' meta but I think he did explain most of his reads. There are some weird and seemingly random reads as well but I feel like I can understand most of his line of reasoning.
What I didn't understand: Do you actually habe a town read on ShiaoPi? How?
|
Because he isnt really trying that hard I feel, like he looks way more lost than in the last game I played with him.
|
I don't really have any good scum reads right now. I have a few players with a soft town read and some others marked down for further investigation like Coag. Why does it seem that people are giving him a free pass for posting trollish/unhelpful. Is there some particular meta I am missing?
|
yeah ange, he plays like this in every game I feel and he always wants to lynch marv
|
I don't agree with your read on ShiaoPi. He is capable of a lot more than being lost and while it might look like that to you I feel that he would have had enough time to stop being lost and give his opinion on the recent discussions.
|
well my point is that as scum I feel he wouldve been way more helpful than so far as town cause he doesnt care about being lynched as town but he cares as scum.
|
@DarthPunk:
What is your current stance on Oats? Still scummy which in Oats terms means nullish? Because I don't understand why Obvious is called scum for giving Oats a town read while Hapa gets away with the same thing.

It's for giving him a town read when it is in my opinion incredibly difficult to give oates a town read in the context of the thread at that point in time and then saying he could policy lynch the town read he just spent most of his post establishing.
Hapa is someone who gives town reads out to 'bad townies' all the time. It is not alignment indicative with hapa. I believe it is with Obvious.
|
my current stance with oates is that he is neutral. Yes oates is always scummy in every game. there are differences though that distinguish his alignment. I just haven't seen any of them yet.

Im not scummy in every game Like games when I play scum. Only you can see it man.

##Vote: yamato77 He said he has a good portion of town reads and some worri-some. When asked about it they apparently were all null-reads besides OO.
Hapa why are you so eager to believe yamato's explanation because it's full of shit? Coag, do you have anything to comment on other than your desire to lynch marv?
I'm inclined to think Oats is town.

Hi rayn.
anything else stick out?

This was about ShiaoPi. I don't agree with this Oats. In LXI ShiaoPi was definitely not helpful at any time and was caught with Clarity on N1. Only think that saved him from being lynched quicker was his weird "i'm lost" behaviour on D3.
Where do you base this feel of yours Oats?
|
EBWOP: sorry, his behaviour on D2.
|
|
Was he scum or town? And why would you use meta based on only one game?
|
Hey Rayn what do you think about obvious being willing to policy lynch his town read?
