Before starting, I'll just talk about random stuff first. So recently I've gone on some very interesting streaks as far as the ladder goes... first I had a 6 losing streak (half to masters), and then I got a 7 win streak (perhaps still increasing win streak? :D).... I feel SO close to masters! I DO!!! I can't tell if I can make it or not though! Diamonds are EZPZ but masters still challenging! I hate this place I'm in!!!
Also did you guys know that you can't be demoted during the middle of a season now??? That seems a tad stupid to me... but oh well.

The Game
Early Game
+ Show Spoiler +
The map is Neo Planet S, and the match up is a PvZ. I open up with an FFE as usual, but My zergy enemy goes for... not so standard play. Probe Johnson scouts a lack of 3rd base by the 5 minute mark, and I begin to beef up, expecting an attack. Zergs are so easy to predict now adays :3
BRAINLINGS!!!
So my enemy's going for a roach/baneling bust. Hah, no problem, I have sentries and an incoming voidray! You can't hurt me little attack!!!
I'll just go macro a little bi-
Aaaand My terrible map awareness makes me react slow.
Ohhh my god such terrible micro.
Such a pathetic defense. I should have been able to hit the force fields and deny entry while my voidray was made... but nooo, I just had to go slip up like an idiot. The ensuing chaos, however, was far less damaging than I expected. Resources lost ended up in my favor thanks to the voidray that came out.
Mmmmmm all the zergs are killings are pylons. Worth it?
Although the loss of pylons was annoying, the zerg still lost more resources in the offensive and even had less workers than me at the end of the day.
Mid Game
+ Show Spoiler +
Resuming voidray production, I look to get some harassment in and happen across an unburrowed spore crawler. Naturally I seize the change to get some damage in.
Voidray kills! Yeah!
The coast was now clear of enemies, and the voidrays can go to town!!! I probably could have won right there. But then 3 hydralisks can and scared off my voidrays.
Watchout, they've got some badasses over there!
God was I stupid. Anyways, I'm in the lead. I got this! Both players start going into macro mode, but you know it's going to end bad when a protoss has his 3rd base up before the zerg. I even happened to come across his 3rd with my voidrays at the perfect time, sniping it down.
Killing off a zerg building in production is strangely satisfying.
A lone zealot even manages to delay his next attempt at a 3rd, just barely missing the drone kill.
Going into macro mode is a pretty comfortable place for me, and I even get around to producing some of my favorite unit; the carrier.
Yeah, that's right. I'm still in this game.
End Game
+ Show Spoiler +
Late game Skytoss has always been my pride and joy; ever since the old WoL days when people thought skytoss was merely a troll build, I've enjoyed my share of epic games with fleets of carriers and voidrays mowing down zerg. And this game brought me back to that nostalgic feeling.
If they don't make a carrier skin for LotV I'm going to throw a potato skin at David Kim.
I feel very confident in this game now, and I decide to take the gold expansion to seal the deal. My carrier production persists, however slowly, and I also get up many templar to make sure I can feedback infestors or storm hydras.
Shiney minerals, shiney buildings!
The zerg surprisingly enough gets up a larger army supply than me... but no worries, I have carriers and storms!
Eat shit hydras!
While the battle appeared extremely close, my air army was able to clean up the straggling roaches afterwards. As spoils of the battle, I also pick off his 3rd base.
I love this voidray, it was the first one out and still is alive <3 and at 20 kills.
Macro mode once again kicks in and my personal Golden Armada starts building up into something scary.
The zerg's macro mode is nowhere near as powerful as mine with the extra boost from gold minerals. HIs choice of continuing to only make hydralisks also is pretty bad, since carriers can smack hydras down a lot easier than most expect.
Hahaha, run away puny zerg!
I push as soon as maxed, and his units are nowhere near powerful enough to stop my tech and supply advantage.
Dat voidray still living.
My armada rolls into his army once the zealots vanish, and an easy GG is earned.
GG!
I'm hoping that I can keep the winning momentum up and maybe even get promoted before the season lock... I really really want that star!!! I shall ladder as much as I can tomorrow, and I'll be sure to make my readers proud!!!!!!
!!!!!!
