The week before break, my english teacher decided to assign us with two projects. Our first was that we had to write a poem. Our group chose to write an epic, so we were having a lot of fun with it. After getting screwed out of joining a friends group (complicated situation, was absent day of group choosing, no biggy), I was assigned to a group with some of the smarter people in the class. Since it is an AP class, we are all motivated... except me. I am lucky, if I was with my friends, we would be too distracted to actually do anything. My group is doing a lot of work over email. I have tried to contribute, but my ideas always get outvoted. I have decided to step back and let them make all the important decisions. An easy grade for sure, so I'm happy. (although I feel bad for doing so little work compared to them.)
My second project is where I made a stupid decision. On December 14th, as all of you know, The Hobbit came out. Being the nerd baller we are, my friends and I went to the midnight premiere. I went to school on no sleep the next day. I took a physics test which I received a C+ on. I was happy with that grade. In English that same day, we had to decide a book to read over the span of winter break that had literary merit. My teacher mocked us saying that no one could read War and Peace in two weeks. My friend jokingly said "Dude, read it to prove him wrong!" I did. I make terrible decisions when I lack sleep, and this is one of them. I told my teacher about reading it, and he reluctantly agreed to let me.
It is currently one week into break. It for sure is a tough read, but nothing I can't handle. I am an avid reader, so I will be able to finish it in time. I only find it as a stupid decision to read it because I can't force myself to read a book. I have to be in the mood to read. Finishing this book will take a good chunk of the rest of my break. I wish I chose an easier book to read so I could enjoy my break a little more, but oh well. I dug the hole.
Thanks for reading and sorry for all the mistakes, I am currently watching Proleague also so I am distracted! Take care everyone :D
