Okay so do to this awesome post, i want to share my thoughts on this:
http://www.iccup.com/content/news/ICCup_Awards_Voting.html
This is such a great thing!
I' ll start off with Best player of the year: such great names nominated:
Scan eOnzErG
Sziky Dewalt
TechnicS Michael
dOTY Bakuryu
All of them great players, Doty Dewalt Bakuryu Eonzerg Scan streaming regulary, and regulary bashing nerds on Fish/iCCup/other servers. I am voting on Scan on this one:
The reason why is his stream: His variance and his ability to play all 3 races indifferently, diversifying his strategy, music, (and i game sounds too), adds up to the most game understanding i have ever seen in 1 player. His legendary smurfing abilities (Scan is everybody and Scan is nobody). For me the best player, the player in sports which i always look up too, has always been the most all round player. And the player with the most stamina if i had to choose a character. So, yeah, Scan.
Best Terran Award:
This one would be an easy pick for me if he was on the list.
Reps)pro7ect !! I would have no doubt as he was/is my favorite all time Terran player. His insane apm , his drops, his mine/tank positioning. The way he played vs , but also vs and vs . Truly one of the best mech players ever to play terran. (aldo his bio play was pretty decent too). However he is inactive in Broodwar from several months. Miss his stream ): . Again some great players here, like Terror, Bibiane, skzlime, Largo. Honestly i am kinda mixed up on this one. I feel like Largo has a lot of potential but suffers from nerves. Dunno too much of Gargoyle, other than he won several Defiler.ru tournaments lately. Skzylime is always up there too. I am going to pick Bibiane for what i have learned from watching his stream, and that is how to play TvP on fighthing spirit. (also that awesome game music)

Best Protoss:
(at the risk of repeating myself) again some great Players! Reps)dewalt has been owning it up in the russian KOTH, powering through Russia' s best players like a hot knife through butter.
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=382255
Doty streams regulary and you can watch his very good play.
Alfio (Italy represent) is Italian like me (show no favoritism for country!!) still, a really good player. He is ladder Jesuisnoob on iCCup and got #2 place last season.
Also Dsaqwe needs a mention. #10 on defiler ladder.
I am kinda mixed up on this one too but i will vote for Doty because of his performance in the ISL3 2012(silver medal) and his Gold in Ribbon' s PvP no goon tour http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/DOTY
Best zerg:
Trutacz Defo needs a mention here. He is #2 rank on defiler ranking and last season #6 on iCCup. http://defiler.ru/tourney/act_rating.php (da fuq 4 zerg in top 4 places?!?), but is outshadowed by Sziky. Eonzerg holds place #1 and technics #3 (on defiler).
Really difficult to choose here. Also because of Bakuryu' s outstanding commitment to help out zergs with indept posts in the strategy section. Viva le mustache Zerg!!
So instead of voting by results in 2012 tournaments, i am going to vote for Bakuryu because the ability to help out new players while being in the top ranks, is good for players getting into Broodwar.

Team of the Year:
LRM, IFU, SAS. FOX. What to say. All great teams with great players.
LRM game has done a lot for Broodwar.
Going to give this one to reps.ru. GOGO mother Russia!!
Biggest Talent:
This is always a difficult one. Biggest talented player yet to prove himself in the top nocht.
Wallace[bg] is always out there battleling and is a pretty good player. I think Eon zerg is missplaced here IMO, because his ranking in Defiler.ru tournaments clearly shows that he is up there with the gosus. Fold, who also streams regulary.
I am going to vote for Wands as the most talented upcoming player, for his performance and the hours of preparation he put into the Noise Amateur starleague: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Noise_Amateur_Starleague_2
http://www.youtube.com/user/TheAmateurStarLeague?feature=watch
The effort he put and determination shows how much a player can improve when helped and coached, and puts effort and time into it too. Gogo Wands!!!
Institution of the year:
Kespa, Sospa, Defiler.ru, Swedish BW initiative:
Ruling out Kespa right away. It is thanx to Kespa we had the awesome Korean pro Broodwar scene going on. However there decision to do the hybrid pro league before the sc2 switch put players under so much pressure its not even funny. People come first. Defo not there year.
Sospa, while its a great thing for Broodwar, is lacking i feel the potential to reach out fully to the foreign Broodwar followers, partly because of the lack of English casters.
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=390206
I am mixed here beetwen Defiler.ru and SBWI. Let us not forget the absurdly good number of daily tournaments that Defiler.ru hosts. As an event organizer myself i know how much time these people put into bringing BW tournaments for all and there amount of dedication for the game We all love. http://defiler.ru/tourney/
The SBWI has on of the greatest things to hit for institutions in this year. Jaevlaterran' s simple yet outstanding approach to how to do something for Broodwar, combined with the possibilities offered by the Swedish goverment, is an outstanding thing to have archievied.
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=332974
I will vote for both on this one, since i believe they are each important institutions in there own way and are highly different. Also much love to Sonic <3 for what he is doing. (note your not supposed to double vote but here for me is a must)
The extra mile award:
So many great people here, that did and do great things for Broodwar. Weather its Stratos' s hype videos, Largo and Defi' s commitment to organazation, Pucca' s tournaments and cast (and iccup blitz that was a great idea)(i think Pucca' s head literally exploded from the sheer number of things he did for Broodwar)(he left the scene), HawaiianPig and trozz' s write ups, or Ninazerg' s tournaments in the Broodwar scene, its all about passion. And we can see clearly how these people have Passion in what they do.
I can' t really choose one of them here, so i will not vote here. They are all winners.
Community Award:
Great stuff here too. Here people work mostly undercover if you will.
I m going to give this one to Liquipedia editors, as i think liquipedia is the single most important tool for all aspects of Broodwar (weather its strategy, BO, Reults). Information is power, and without proper information one cannot be informed properly.
Best Caster:
:s
Well what to say here. I have really enjoyed (even do i don' t understand much) Russian casters like Yoda and Largo. Yoda has a distinct ability to hype it up with keypoint words. Lately i am enjoying Largo' s casts and his ability to reach out. Despise the language difficulties, here is a caster i can greatly relate too, even just listening to the inflexion in his words. And he always gives you news in English too at the end of his casts.
Elegant is a great technical caster. Unfortunatly due to his internet he is un-regular, but i m happy he was mentioned here and The Elegant hackle (also Sayle-Elegant combo) fits nicely as well.
This one for me gotta go to Hacklebeast. He is my all time favorite caster. There is something about when he gets exited and calm back again that powers through me like a 10/15 breaking into terrans rax Fe. (this didn t come out right). I have watched his casts from long time. Thank you for all the casts you did and hours of entertaining you gave to the community. (this goes to Sayle as well, Thanks).
