Not the best of starts for TL-EG! I am sure they will improve. The longer they are together the better they will integrate. Stephano, Taeja and Hero are currently the three big hitters in that team. Deploy them and they will look much stronger. Anyway I have no doubt that the fixtures with TL-EG will have the most Foreigner interest throughout the season.
What are they going to call the EG base in Korea - The EG Hive?
Thorzain was jet-lagged and so not at his best, he will improve. So far the best performing Foreigner in ProLeague this season has been DOA. He was excellent.

Haha oh wow. Inb4 0-xx results at the end of the season.

the crusty old vet just taught the rookie to show his elders some respect... it's up to the new managers to make sure the team can learn from this loss and regroup for the next series.

KT with proper PL preparation vs an exhausted TL-EG line-up lacking hero and taeja.. So you saying that there was no chance TL-EG would've ever won against KT? Since Hero and Taeja could've only scored two points max.
And Stephano?

Was there any game particularly worth watching? Sorry to ask, but it's hard to tell by the game ratings, I am afraid they are all hype for the Flash victory and all depression for the EGTL losses.

G2-4 definitely not. They all straight up died to a timing.
G1 is worth it for the new map and for seeing how good Flash's macro is.

Game 1 could be fun to watch for the new map, also Zenio played reasonably well (nowhere near well enough though). Game 2 was a Blink stalker stomp, so not really. Game 4 was Immortal/Sentry on Ohana so if you want to see that for the millionth time...
Haven't seen Action's game.

Well flash didn't make a single mistake in his game. So if you want to look at flawless terran play you can watch game 1. Game 2 was a build order lost+JYP reading his opponents build wrong. Game 3 was the 2 base ling, banes, and mutas push, nothing exciting there. And game 4 was the parting immortal all-in.

Flash vs Zenio was the best game compared to the others but it was basically Flash stomping while Zenio tried to counter or look for a decent engagement.
JYP Vs Wooki was a semi-BO loss as JYP went robo+obs blink stalker while wooki just went pure blink stalker and outnumbered JYP's stalkers.
Tzain vs action. Tzain opened w/ 6 hellions and banshee but did no damage at all. Action hit a big 2/2 muta/ling/bane bust and tzain had too few units and was only on 1/1 ups and got rolled.
JD vs Stats. Parting build, JD saw it coming and was in okay shape (only went to 49 drones started pumping units, has roach speed) but didn't know where to engage and Stats got up into his nat and FF'd everything.
So yea, the first game was good, if only to see Flash's really good macro.

Hmmm, I don't remember that. I just remember watching it and feeling bad for Zenio because there was no way he could have won that. Flash is looking extremely scary

There are quite a few people saying "bo1 format is a joke, can't take this proleague thing seriously", but they fail to see that a bo3 is just 3 bo1's and a bo7 is just 7 bo1's. Better to just have 1 bo1 and get it over with. PL has always had the best of the "best of" formats.
|
Goddamit I had KT as my team originally, then I changed it for god knows why at the last second to STX. Fucking hell. Oh well, my antiteam is bogus anyways.
|
I would recommend Game 1 and Game 3 for the sole reason that the Zerg actually went muta/ling/bling and that is enough to get me excited about ZvT these days.
|
Korea op? Lol as if guys.
It's been these Kespa players who gave the idea that the entire Korean population is good. Nope, it's just them (: Broodwar flowing through their veins >

I said it when they released the matches ahead of time, EGTL will not win a game due to the preparation of the Kespa teams. If Kespa doesn't release the matches, EGTL has a good shot.

Yay, glad he didn't take too big a hit from the casting confusion, he's a solid caster.
