Lolwut stephano. To be fair those are not the best Koreans in the world except for Life. MC/Seed/Squirtle are not even top 10 Koreans. DRG might be barely top 10.

So nice guy Stephano There was money on the line and there was money on the line for Stephano. Nice try though. Well maybe Stephano was indeed saving his energy for the real tournament where there is USD 40K on the line..oh wait.

Those are the top 5 korean in GSL rankings, this was the most objective way to decide a top korean lineup, as the game is too volatile to have a clear hierarchy.

I'd take ELO over GSL accumulative points ranking any day.

I was hoping Squirtle versus Stephano would have went a little longer and I guess I have to go back and watch Scarlett versus Life because I totally tuned out in that game. The rest of the matches felt like total squashes. I re-woke as soon as the loser finals and winner finals begun. Those matches were entertaining.

I'd take ELO over GSL accumulative points ranking any day. And I'd take Glicko over Elo any day! This match mostly confirmed that Stephano is a good, world-class zerg capable of competing pretty much anywhere. World-class zergs win some more and lose some, particularly against stacked competition. (Seriously, nobody ever really goes >75% winratio beyong a few weeks of streak. That's already one match lost every four played, on average.) You don't need to pack the highest rating/score whatever to get nice multikills in teamleague, particularly if your race currently has the most favourable metagame, but doing so against a very good team is still a high mark of skill.

To be fair, a 5-1 record this entire GSL WC isn't bad at all.

Also, only GSL champs and runner-ups should be eligible? With the way GSL points work, it is pretty much the 4 champs + a runner up. There are situations where you have 3 champs and 2 players with 2 runners up. Or someone with 2 Ro4s instead of runner ups but those cases are rare. I feel like this event should be bigger than GSL. I wonder how that can be achieved, because I know that if this went on once a year we (the rest of the world) would really get into it and would eventually win. We need to win.
