I'm going to go to bed. I hope to wake up to see a lot of constructive posts from iamp and Hopeless I also would like Oats and marv to finalize their ticket if they can...
Activity is very dispersed in this town by the way. VE comes off the top of my mind as a suspicious lurker. I might not be able to be very active tomorrow because I'm going to have a difficult Monday at work but I'll take the time to carefully consider my vote for sure.
@risk.nuke
Bring me a strong case against a some new suspicious player and remove TC from your ticket and you may have my vote

I thought the general assumption was that my hidden modifier was boosted due to matching my role with the correct time period, enough so that I could potentially carry even if scum was on the team. Does your role PM say anything about it being boosted if you're in the party during your era? Mine doesn't, although I do get other bonuses when I'm in the party during my era.
No, it doesn't say I get a boost in my pm. I just assumed it because the likelyhood of syllo correctly picking 3 townies on day 1 was low, yet we still won the challenge.
It's highly possible Syllo just had some good reads, but surely having Frog in the squad during 600ad couldn't have hurt either.

The probability of syllo picking 3 townies on day 1 is very high.

Why am I not on the team?

How did you get your popcorn
|
What... That's the ability name. I can use it any time I have the gold for it.
|
That's such a dumb ability name that I'm struggling to see how it could be a fake claim unless someone on the team is clever. How do you get gold then?
|
I don't. Was kind of hoping someone had the ability to give ne gold or it was an event reward. Another reason I want on the team.

I'm confused.

I guess the ability is called popcorn, because that is what greymist will be eating when the person with the role claims his popcorn check

Obviously I didn't start with 0...

A nice quote, but not relevant to me. I didn't start with 200.

A nice quote, but not relevant to me. I didn't start with 200. We're you given a "you have x total gold" or "you have received x amount of gold"? The latter suggests we can give you gold.

For instance, I think the probable scenario is something like this: Normal Townies: 100 HMS High HMS Townies: 250 HMS Low HMS Townies: 40 HMS Normal Mafia: -300 HMS When the mission starts, if the total HMS value of the group is > 0, the event is successful. (These are obviously just made up numbers. Just an example for context.) Even if I believed a system like that likely the problem is those numbers are values. And values are not Modifiers. Thus we would had been told each player have a hidden/unknown success value. Gotta read the setup you guys...

Town players will assist completion of an event and mafia players will count against. There are other hidden factors that contribute to this as well. Failure to complete events will result in bad. Then you should complain to Greymist and demand a refund

I need to remind myself to go back and read the setup, I always forget things a week or so after I read it and assume everything I don't remember is hidden. People were talking about modifiers in the thread, I guess it started out with someone thinking it was the same thing. Still doesn't change how I feel about HP though.

No, but it does reinforce the idea that characters from the corresponding era and their being main characters has a chance (however slim) of improving our party's chance at success beyond that of simply 'being town'.
