This was a practice run, I was aiming for sub 5 hours, made tons of mistakes and almost made sub 4. In the long run sub 3 is definitely possible.

Yeah, I'm amazed that ~3:00:00 actually seems humanly possible. So much for AGDQ's fears that this run will crash and burn and that they'll have to pull the plug on it.

Also, (as you may have noticed) this time of year is amazing for speedruns. People are starting to really practice for AGDQ and with the time off for winter arriving, prepare to see a lot of streams and a lot of records. Add to that how hype the Spooktacular and Number-Smw Marathons were and damn, it's a good time to be into speedrunning.

I know Garnet2525 is practicing FF9 again on twitch rather than nico . Tomato rice is insane and still doing FF7/8 last I heard. However Caracarn killed the Japanese runners playing FFX-2 I've not seen many of the other JP FF runners in a while but I know the FF7 scene is booming and I can't wait for this to be explored -

I'm not at all good at the game yet so I haven't tried any of the harder things (fresh game, Dante Must Die). I've also run Vergil Hard and Very Hard New Game+. There's a long way to go yet and if it gets to AGDQ and I'm useless, I'll reluctantly drop to Hard mode I suppose. I'm way better at Vergil than Dante (he's OP) and last I heard, I'm better than the person who's running Vergil at the Marathon, so yeah. The good thing is, I'm really enjoying DMC3 again. There's something fun about learning and routing a game that I didn't realise until doing it a second time. It helps that DMC3 is the bomb. On November 16 2012 11:27 Imperfect1987 wrote: Flicky are you planning on running Bayonetta 2 in the future? That depends entirely on what the game is like and if I get a Wii-U (I'm should be moving in with a friend next year so we might pick one up together). If it's pretty similar to the first one and I like it then you'll at least see casual runs or races (I mean, essentially I'll have hundreds of hours experience already). Bayonetta is a blast to run casually and route just because of how the game works so unless something goes wrong or I don't have time, at least expect some fun runs. Emanon is at the head of the pack. The interesting thing about it is that the Japs aren't using Tifa for the third slot (Cloud, Cait Sith, X) like everyone has been for ages. The second fastest time is with Cid while the fastest uses Red XIII. FFVII might slow down a tad while those guys go back to FFIX for the AGDQ marathon. There's a bunch of people working on that too. _______________________ Sandython - Things to check out: + Show Spoiler + Nov 24 - 12:05 AM - Luigi's Mansion - Bonesaw577 is real entertaining. Check that crazy guy out. Nov 24 - 11:20 AM - Punch Out - Sinister1 is awesome and you know everything in this game is stupidly frame perfect. Nov 24 - 04:00 PM - Banjo-Kazooie - Stivitybobo has taken the 100% from Japan and that run is insane. Also, his name is Stivitybobo Nov 24 - 10:10 PM - Zelda 2 - feasel is the goddamn greatest. This run used to be a joke but is now an amazing watch. Nov 25 - 04:35 AM - Pokemon Blue then Crystal - Mexiricanbassmonkey is awesome and is only just behind Werster when it comes to Pokemon. He is real legit. Nov 25 - 11:40 AM - Contra III - Hurblat is goddamn amazing at this game. Nov 25 - 07:55 PM - Donkey Kong 64 - cfox77. This game was broken before, but now isn't even a game. It's destroyed completely. New glitch found a few days ago. Nov 26 - 12:40 AM - Ape Escape - Karls_Friend. This game is also totally broken. KF/LD is pretty good at it too and a funny guy. Nov 26 - 01:50 AM - Super Metroid - Garrison & Kassiuz. Kreygasm. Nov 26 - 04:00 AM - Aladdin - Kassiuz. I heard really good things about this from Number-SMW. Nov 26 - 04:40 AM - GTA: Vice City - S & Oasiz. I'm good friends with these guys and GTA speed runs are awesome. While not as random as GTA III, expect some hilarious RNG to ruin one of the players. Nov 26 - 11:30 PM - Mega Man X - Caleb Hart's MMX runs are some of the most insane things you'll ever see. He, tiki & Mushipan (from Japan) re-defined what it means to be good at MMX. Nov 27 - 09:05 PM - Ninja Gaiden II - duckfist is amazing at this game and a real cool dude to watch. Nov 27 - 10:20 PM - Super Mario World 96 Exit - dram55. Yeah, this is just that next-level stuff. Watch. If I haven't already filled your weekend up with runs to watch, also check out anything by: feasel, PJ, neskamikaze, peaches, funkdoc & was0x/0xwas. Not to mention live Splinterface in Turtles in Time. Just some lesser-known runs that you should try out as well as the ones I'm super stoked about.

However Bzero is witting away his sanity with the segmented run though (Attempt 900 on segment 5 with only 1 attempt getting past Sealion) and PAL wise I ended up proving the Excalibur II is obtainable in a SS run without FMV skips but the run died to deathguise so I've had little incentive to finish a PAL run recently considering how long they are (Damn 50hz) Also I really suggest MBM's stream for sandy. He is amazing at the pokemon games and helped me with KH:358/2 (I shamelessly stole his Leechgrave tactic so he refuses to accept my current run since I failed it )

But those numbers have plummet, by a lot. Less Mario Kart Wii races, less Mega Man, sad :/ Dunno about FF, there are a few runners but it's not that popular.
