If you folks want esports to take off, you need to understand that people outside of 4chan do not automatically devalue every offensive comment just because it was written online. And it's not their problem. It's yours.

Because we can behave like childish teenagers and we can make tasteless jokes and nobody is offended (well ironicly if you are in the spotlight people are). We love the internet the way it is because it seperates from "real life". It is so much more free than the "real world" and thats why people get mad over ACTA and SOPA. What would you say if the "internet" is regulated and dealt with the same way real life is. I guess you wont like that. And Cloud is completely right. Why the fuck should someone change just because more people are having an eye on him? Hypocrits everywhere.

Everyone everywhee in the world is getting WAY to easy to offend. If he said that in an office people would laugh. Yet he is at work playing with people he knows Getting arrested - lol. But nothing to do with sc2. People watching other people need to remember that the point of voyeurism is not to be seen. I mean its not half as bad as asking 'does it make you gay if another man sucks your cock while you are asleep and you get a hard on?' I could probably do a top 1000 of office comments and jokes from over the years that are FAAAAR more offensive than this and have resulted in absolutley zero reprocussions precisley because everyone knows its a joke.

And whatever goes in France is completely irrelevant, EG is an American team and so its American rules. Kiddies need to grow up and learn a little about how the real world works. *people* take offense to things. The words themselves are not offensive because they aer out of context. It is *you* interpreteation of them that is choosing to take offense. one word Tolerance another word that americans should be comfortable with Freedom. Another set of words - easily offended emos. You are right kiddies DO need to grow up and realise that they are choosing to take offense and be over reactionary at every little thing because their sad little lives are meaningless so they desperatley seek to have any effect on the world by trolling and being all morally superior. Everyone has laughed at a joke with dark sense of humor. Its what makes us think.

If a large enough group of people take offense to things then you have a problem which needs rectification. Tolerance is fine and good so is freedom but thats not what is being argued here. EDIT: Also there is a thing called liberty that americans believe in , it operates under the harm principle Harm principle : The harm principle holds that each individual has the right to act as he wants, so long as these actions do not harm others.

If I did run a company and paid him to be a representative of the company, I wouldn't want him publically say things such as "Take my whole arm up your ass" or "Eat my bloody vagina" as he did in this game: http://de.twitch.tv/egstephano/b/330792766 It isn't something I would want to be associated with my company. If you take the money from a company to represent them, that also includes responsibilities. If you don't want those responsibilities, then it is simple, don't take their money as they will want positive representation in return and for you to act sensibly.

Because of context. could someone then try and cause trouble about it. Sure ... but they would be recognized as being a dick. Because everyone knows what the situation is. If it is true then its a police matter. Its called being petty.

If a player said they fucked a 14 year old they'd be instantly banned from their team as well as reported to the authorities and the police. The manager himself would kick the player out on his arse, and the league would end his pro career effective immediately. You people are idiots. Do you have any idea how serious allegations like this are IRL? People have been jailed for less in Britain, you know.

Age of consent is 15 in France. Also your teacher-student example would also get the teacher in a lot of trouble in Germany (§174 StGB)
